Infinity War Captain America|Steve Rogers - Chris Evans

Who else thinks by the end of A4 he is going to be wearing the classic chainmail comic book outfit. I think they're building to it and I think it would be so appropriately fitting for him to rock that classic Captain America look for his "final" outing.

If he ever does don the chainmail, classic costume I would seriously consider buying the Hot Toys version of that.

Yeah instead of the first Avenger costume we see him in from the A4 set pics.

Evans was so good in that movie. That rage
when he was grabbing Thanos' hand and the delivery of "Oh God..."

And of course the beard/haircut exchange and his hello to Groot :funny:

Also
"We don't trade lives' and then Vision repeating that was one of my fav lines in the film

Steve has even more motivation or will have even more in A4 especially considering what just went on in Wakanda at the hands of Thanos

I still want a Captain America 4 but I don't think that's gonna happen if Evans retires from the role if he is truly done and honestly the Captain America franchise is pretty much done anyway like where can you really go after Civil War? I mean First Avenger was awesome and then Winter Soldier was probably one of if not the best sequels in the MCU and Civil War raised the stakes of that

I totally agree. I can say the same about Thor. I mean...The first one was great but things got rocky during the sequel but things turned around for Ragnarok and here we got the Thor we've been wanting to see. Between him and Cap, the two have come along way in terms of character growth since we first saw them. The MCU as a whole though...can't believe its been ten years in the making that has led up to Infinity War. :)

I know right it is like these 10 years have seemingly just flew by like that

Why does Cap look better in the Avengers suit in these pictures than the first time around?

I still love The Avengers costume myself, but I know I am in the minority.

His First Avenger uniform here in A4 from the set photos actually looks good

No weird looking cowl here.

I hope he doesn't spend the whole movie in that suit. It's the worst of all of them by large.

I thought that was a flashback to A1. Like a twisted vision or something. Hence even the same hairstyle.

I want a Cap 4 as well and there's 77 years more or less worth of Cap comics that they can adapt from. Also I want them to develop Sharon and her relationship with Cap like in the comics. Unfortunately they demoted Sharon into a rookie former agent.

Yeah Nick Fury only really chooses rookies to watch over superheroes. :o

It's one thing I didn't like. Thanos was quick to know who Tony was, but I found it odd he acted like Steve was a nobody, while back in the first Avengers, Loki was quick to recognize him as "The Soldier".

Iron Man also blew up the Chitari mother ship. Loki only knew who the Avengers were because he talked to Barton.

Cap wasn't as involved as I was expecting but he still played his part and I think he'll be at the forefront of the fightback in Avengers 4.

I think I read a recent quote from the writers about Cap getting more screen time in A4.

Petition to call this thread "I am Steve Rodgers"

I've never been a big fan of Captain America in these movies( too much of a boyscout and he always has one line in each film that's so self righteous that I cringe and roll my eyes over) but he deserved better than this film.

I don't care if he's gonna get a bunch of spotlight in the next film. There was no excuse for his treatment here. This guy is the Avenger's leader! They should have done better by him.

And Evans is usually a reliable performer, but here I felt like he was just sleepwalking through the role. Obviously there wasn't much there on the page for him, but he wasn't even able to rise over the meager scraps the writers gave him.

I know this movie is overstuffed with characters and whatnot, but I just feel like Steve is still one of those characters that shouldn't be so thin like he was here. They couldn't throw a rousing speech his way or something? He always has a stand out moment in each film, but not here. As it is I feel like his most stand out moment was the "I am Steve Rogers" joke, which should not be the case.. I pray they do better by him next movie.

I loved
Caps first appearance. That catching of the lance/trident was pure BOSS.

As a fan of the character I'm not near as outraged. I don't think there is much to be concerned about personally. :oldrazz:
