Infinity War Captain America|Steve Rogers - Chris Evans

Definitely sounds like Cap is taking on the Nomad persona for most of the film. One of the descriptions mentioned a darker costume.

I lihe the sound of him looking rough and bearded as a fugitive in Wakanda.

Those who have seen the footage say his costume looks approximately like this:

I'd be cool with that, as long as he gets a classic costume upgrade in the end.

In the comics I seem to recall Steve growing a beard just after giving up being Cap, before he became 'the Captain' in what eventually became the USAgent outfit. Now, I'm not suggesting that we're getting that particular outfit, but maybe this all black outfit riffs like an amalgamation of the 'Nomad/Captain' outfits? Just need BP to have given Steve another vibranium shield (before Tony gives Steve his original shield back when he inevitably becomes Cap again at some point) and we're golden.

I'm kind of worried that with Cap being considered a fugitive in the MCU, that it may require him to sacrifice his life (for good) in order to clear his name.

It blows my mind how the MCU took a character who was basically a walking flag and made him into one of the best adaptations and fan favorites out there.

All cheers to the Russos :yay:

Yep. Look at the change in overall approach and tone, not to mention costuming and power set between the first Avengers movie and the Winter Soldier - massive improvement.

What they have done with Cap in these movies has been nothing short of fantastic. This was a character I cared nothing for in the beginning, but I was completely won over after TWS. Credit must given to Chris Evans for always bringing his A game and creating a character people can truly root for.

I don't know why? He is a fugitive, but he did almost nothing wrong in CW. There is evidence that Bucky didn't put the bomb, it was Zemo's fault.
The final scene was personal.
He's going to be blamed for the airport. Because of this he'll need to clear his name? I hope not.

Although Bucky didn't bomb the UN, he is still the Winter Soldier. And he still killed innocent people in Berlin. Yes, under the triggers, but I don't think the government cares about them.
Also, for the simple reason of violation of the Accords.
But I don't think that he needs to sacrifice his life to get his name cleared. Fighting with Thanos have to be enough for everyone.

But if the world thinks that he is a "war criminal", then It's more than likely that they won't be too accepting of him when he makes his return. They're likely to arrest him first, which is why he might have to make a sacrifice in order to change their perception of him.

But like you said, I don't think Cap is really guilty of any major crime. It actually sucks that Iron Man is living ofc a happy life when he was the one that ruined the avengers.

Tony wasn't "the one". Saying this means oversimplification of the complex story. I understand that everyone roots for their favorite, but it's a very one-sided judgment to say that one side is guilty in everything and the other did everything right. I'm a big fan of Cap, but I can totally see what the Russos were talking about. Both Steve and Tony are responsible for ruining the Avengers.

Nah, it's all Zemo's fault. Him and his damned "Mission report".

If Tony listened to Steve in the airport and Steve told him about his parents long ago, Zemo's plan wouldn't have worked.

See also: if Sharon Carter simply did her job and investigated Zemo right after the incident, Zemo's plan wouldn't have worked either.

That doesn't mean he needs to sacrifice himself, if that's the case, so Tony, Wanda and Bruce should be seen as criminals for what happened in Sokovia. That was a lot worse than what Steve did in CW.

The Avengers were ruined by the Accords. They have different points of view, some wanted to sign and some did not. Tony tried to persuade him to sign, just like Nat, but he didn't want to, that was respected, although Tony kept trying.
Not everyone will have the same thoughts, none of them should do something that goes against their principles.

With that black outfit, does it mean no cowl?

Well to be fair, I'd say Brubaker had a lot to do with the Cap renaissance.

Not guilty of any major crimes? Attacking police officers, some of whom probably suffered major injuries and maybe even died from those or are crippled for the rest of their lives. Aiding a known criminal. Endangering civilian lives. And lets not forget millions in property and economic damage. All of that on foreign soil no less. Normal people would spend the rest of their lives in jail for that.

Btw all of your pic uploads aren't working or are expired for some reason. Noticed it on a few other threads too.

Yeah, just noticed that now. Thanks for pointing it out. Photobucket used to be.reliable too.

Cap's costume reminds me of his THE CAPTAIN outfit from the 1980s.
