Infinity War Captain America|Steve Rogers - Chris Evans

He definitely needed more screen time but he got the biggest applause in my theater when he first showed up.

It makes sense... Avengers 4 is going to be Iron Man’s and Cap’s swan song. That’s why all of the heroes that faded away are new ones/have sequels planned. 4 is going to be leaner, and more focused with the original team (with help ala Ant-Man, etc.).

One of the more cooler spots in the movie was when BP charging ahead to face the aliens and Cap matching him all the way. They were way ahead of everyone else.

That was a cool shot. But Bucky should have been keeping pace with them too.

Captain America had far more screentime and action than I was lead to believe.

He didn't have a lot of lines though, but he had a good showing against Corvus Glaive and Proxima as well as his later one on one fight with Corvus.

Captain America is easily my favorite MCU character, and my favorite superhero period. I was totally satisfied with his screen time here. This wasn't HIS movie.

he basically got less screentime than WM got in Civil War.

I was shocked,

Yeah, I was way disappointed with Cap's role.
It's even more disappointing with the Russo's as directors.
Yeah, he got a big audience reaction when he appeared. Then some indistinct combo fighting, with the stunt coordinators forgetting he is the most skilled close combat fighter in the world and limiting him to basic punching. He gets defeated by Corvus when going one on one. His only wow moment is when he -inexplicably-stall Thanos hand.
He almost gets dialogue. And the directors still have no clue on how to translate Cap's leadership and planning ability into the screen.
For not seeing Cap for a year, and this being his second last movie, he deserved more

The Russo bros said the characters that weren't as focused on in part 1 will be next year. I was satisfied with his role in the film and he's my favourite character.

He could be the main character in the next one.

Cap was already pretty much the main character in Age of Ultron.

I think Avengers should balance Thor, Hulk, Stark, and Banner as equally as possible.

What? Did we see the same movie?

AoU was basically about Tony. As always.

Hope so. Cap needs a leading role at the climax of the next one.

I am of two minds about Cap here. He is mostly here to do cool stuff which isn't bad. But it's not really meaty other than the debate he's got going with Vision. That said, you can tell there are bigger plans to use Steve in A4 so I didn't have a problem with Cap's actions being louder than his words in this movie.

Cap coming out of the shadows in his first scene gave me goosebumps. The entire theater went ape when he appeared. Iconic

Yes, I really want that too.

Oh yeah.

It's a great moment. Only beaten by the
"I am Steve Rogers"
response. :woot:

I found it a groaner but in a good way as it totally fit Steve.

cap is my fave and will always be, so i was just a tiny bit bummed out about his screentime. but the russos know what they're doing so i'm stoked for what they have planned for him next!!

i loved that shot of t'challa and steve leading the charge
