Captain Britain and MI-13

I bet they can't use her because Claremont's gonna drag her across time and parallel universes to star in X-Men: Forever. :oldrazz:

They should just have an ongoing called X-PENSION PLAN and pay Claremont to write any story he wants, that will sell 10k or less, and be done with it. :p

I have a question for the people in the UK, is the latest issue out over here yet because in the local comic shops in Leeds, Forbidden Plane I didnt bother asking any of tt,Traveling Man and OK Comics dont seem to have any. This could be a sign that it is selling out over here but i dont know. I have one more question and that is will Brian appear in the Chris Claremont Psylocke special X-Men: Sword of the Braddocks??

Comics come out in England one day after America - so yup it's out.

It's a popular series in the UK and so you might want to consider setting up a pull for it.

Yeah looks like i might have to. Ive had no trouble with the other issues but im a few days late with the latest one and its sold out everywhere.....

I have it, but have a subscription set up with my LCS, so not sure if it sold out or not.

I don't know how many copies the shops you're going to ordered, but on a purely instinctive level, that makes me happy. :)

Watch, the high UK sales backfires on us, and the comic is only available overseas as part of a new Marvel UK line.

I on the other hand will give up on the title entirely. Effectively negating your level of commitment with my own lazyness.

Sales figures for Jan. 2009, and they are not pretty for CB&MI13. While of course the Obama Spidey team up made sales history with three printings, the rest of the Top 300 comic sales were down 9%, and even despite that, this title couldn't sell within the Top 100. The 9th issue sold 18k. :(

I bought the first trade today as a show of support (plus, easy to store), and the North American version has two Claremont/Byrne issues of Marvel Team-Up from the late 70s included (Captain Britain meeting Spider-Man).

Hmm, I think I'll pick up that trade. I'll have to let the dude at my shop know I want a copy next week. I don't think he orders too many copies of anything Captain Britain-related. :(

It's pronounced Fey-za / Feiza? I've been saying Fie-za / Fahi-za.

Also, I was surprised at how super-English Cornell sounds. I didn't see that particular accent coming. I think I need to watch some more BBC America, because that shouldn't have shocked me like it did.

Yeah, I've been saying "Fah-EE-za" and I intend to continue saying it that way. Cornell's way makes her sound too much like a weapon with variable damage output from Star Trek.

I was pronouncing it correctly... I don't know why.

Paul Cornell does sound awesomely traditionally British.

Haha, someone in the Newsarama comments said he sounded really posh. I'm inclined to agree.

He sounds pretty much like I imagined he'd sound like from looking at his photo; not like Alan Moore, who doesn't sound nearly evil enough.

Lol, I agree that Alan Moore doesn't sound nearly as sinister as he looks. It's disappointing.

Thankfully, Warren Ellis sounds just as fruity loops as I'd always imagined.
