Not so keen on the '90s setting. What's the point? What happened in that era that means captain marvel as to happen there?

Unless Brie is only contracted for one movie and they'll cast an older Carol in the sequel

I'm sure it will make sense when we see it. Feige says there are spoilery reasons for that setting. Whatever happens, I doubt we'll have "older Carol" in present day. She'll either get stuck in suspended animation somewhere or do some version of time-travel, but she'll get here, and she'll look like 28-year-old Brie Larson.

Skrulls and we get Adam Warlock Marvel keeps going after phase 3. Mordo and Dormmamu still around as well, I just need F4 rights back for it to be complete.

Umm did I miss something how can we get skrulls I thought they were tied to the ff rights

Come on. You know they sign multiple film contracts...especially for the leads on their various franchises.

Nineties setting is interesting.

Kree Skrull War!

It would be great if they could get Lee Pace back as Ronan The Accuser

Time Dilation and Kree Powers are probably reasons why Carol doesn't age 20+ years.

Better look at the suit:

Okay, I officially have no idea what is going on with this movie. Not that I'm complaining. A Kree-Skrull war, oh my. :hmr:
Better than her backstory involving being raped by her own son to make her give birth to him. It's something that sort of parallels that since it involves time travel and trauma but isn't anywhere near as disgusting or uncomfortable.
That's not her backstory though. That crap happened a bit later in Carol's career, when a moron decided to show to the world how much of a moron he was and wrote that now infamous comic.

I'm pretty sure Fox only owns Super Skrull.

Looks like a mix of the McKelvie suit and the Anka redesign to me... I like it. Bonus point for no damn wedges.

Fox and Marvel share the Skrulls, Fox has the Super Skrull. Fox could, if they wanted to, make an FF movie with regular Skrulls, but so can Marvel as long as it doesn't have Super Skrull.

The time setting makes it interesting. As long as it doesn't leave unanswered where she's been the last 20 years, it shouldn't be an issue. But I'm guessing the ending can't be another alien attack since Avengers 1 is the first time that happened.

The 90s makes sense now as some were speculating how a modern day film would work if all that Thanos stuff was happening in the background.

Intrigued by the 90's setting. That came out of nowhere which is great. This is a great opportunity for Marvel to expand the universe in a unique way.

Yeah, I guess that does make more sense.

2014: "Everyone's Hydra."
2019: "Everyone's a Skrull." :D

That suit looks great. Could still use a bit of sash though...

The 90s sound promising, but I'm worried about her echoing Steve too much in the First Avenger.
