Some of you have no imagination. Cap Planet beyond obviously being a corporate produced environmental protection cartoon, was actully a cool idea and predecessor to many of the elemental powers shows we have today and a few years back. Avatar for instance might be a possible decendant of Captain planet. And the CP show to me is no more lame than the original ninja turtles cartoon everyone thinks was god's gift to cartoons.

I actually think the old cp show dealt with more mature themes and creative use of the planeteer's powers unlike the typical kicking and punching the turtles did every episode. I'd love to see a live action version some day... It'd have a good message for kids, and some awesome action from a superhero like Cap. What's wrong witht that.

I remember that show, I actually liked it at the time, maybe they should revamp the show, put, it back on TV for a while see how it does
I wouldn't mind seeing it come back, as long as, they don't try to japanime it lol
or how about a live action show, instead

Yes, I agree with what you just typed. And I agree NOW! Back then was a different story. The problem with Captain Planet was that they broke the #1 rule of children's television. Don't preach to kids! Thats why people look down to Captain Planet. They remember it as that TBS show that preached at them.

Think Cartoon Network can handle it? Sometimes I miss the old TBS' Disaster Zone time slot.

When I was a kid and it was one of the only shows that was on (I didn't have cable), I thought Captain Planet was awesome, but then as I got older I realised it was just hippy propoganda disguised as a superhero cartoon.
