Sequels CARNAGE & LIZARD for "SPIDER-MAN 4" confirmed already!?

Baker wouldn't be LEADING S-M:4, it will be whoever's playing Parker/S-M. True, Baker is not a leading man, in Drive, he was a dying father who wanted to go on the cross-country race with his daughter, his last hurrah, as it were. Other than Drive, I haven't seen Baker in anything.

Baker had a lead role in Happiness a while back http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0147612/ and I thought he was fantastic. If he's given the right script he can really give a tremendous performance.

And my whole outlook is this: If Raimi can make movies like Spider-Man 1 and 2 using ONE classic villain, I say don't mess with success. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, you know?

Also, I'd like to point out that Baker is a very good character actor who I've see nconvincingly play sympathetic, heroic and sleezy evil bastard in at least a dozen films over the last 15 years. A very fine actor who can carry this part.

And how many of you all had heard of Molina before he was Doc Ock (say something besides Frida or Maverick) or Thomas Hayden Church as a dramatic actor pre-Sideways, then?

I recognized Molina from Identity, Dudley DoRight, and Species... Identity is the only one I'm actually happy I saw...

There are no doubt some production designs, maybe even marquettes but there was never any finalised designs before the Lizard was abandoned.

Yes. Lets get rid of Raimi and throw someone in the mix who cares about what the fans want...because that worked so well in the 3rd movie and now the majority of the fanboys are *****ing because Venom was reduced to a puddle within 20 mins. of first appearing.

don't believe a word of it but I really hope sam (if he returns) steers well clear of carnage an even worse villain than venom.

I don't think Venom is a terrible villain and think he was portrayed pretty well (hopefully he shows up in 4 ) but Carnage would just be symbiote overkill. No point in making a movie that would essentially be Maximum Carnage. The Lizard should be confirmed already and maybe Chameleon, Kraven or someone else that Raimi could probably make an interesting character.

Seriously, if Carnage is in the next movie then I know that the ONLY reason why they are making it is to make more money. And I would find it really hard to get excited. If Carnage is to be in a Spider man movie, than like Hobgoblin, save him for another director.

I really want to see Raimi use the Lizard, and I think black cat of Kraven could be a good companion to that story. Kraven may be not very interesting visually, but anyone who has read Kraven's last hunt knows that he can be very menacing and complex.

We need good stories in SM4 for it to be good,not things added to the movie because it would make good eye candy like Carnage and Black Cat would do.Kraven would make the Lizard's story better.

Not necessarily. I'm sure Sony would find a way to work around an "R" rating if they were to use Carnage in the future. They know that kids make up a huge part of the audience for these movies and obviously wouldn't be putting the money in their pockets if parents aren't taking the younger viewers due to an "R" rating. It would be a dumb move, but it's not going to happen ragardless of Carnage or no Carnage.
