The Last Jedi Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa (VIII)

The CGI Tarkin and Leia in Rogue One frankly made my skin crawl with the sheer creepiness, so I really hope they won't go there with Leia for Episode IX.

I just read that Leia/CF was only on screen for about 3.5 minutes in TFA? My mind is blown. I would have guessed about 15 mins including parts where she is standing in the group of rebels during briefings etc. That's what it feels like.

Surely Lucasfilm must have access to some deleted scenes or alternate takes of Fisher? They don't have to resort to CGI like they did in Rogue One.

In my opnion, the work they did on Tarkin was great. Save for the beginning it all looked incredibly real. Young Leia on the other hand was more obvious that it was CG. Even in that very brief moment.

BTW...this tribute appeared before Rogue One started. I thought it was pretty classy of the theater to add it.

Thanks, and that's just a "new" picture, imagine all the new footage we'll be getting with her in VIII, that's going to bring the sads.
Don't know if they'll be re-editing to establish her character's "end", but I hope it's an epic send off.

Does anyone know if the script called for or if they got to shoot any Luke and Leia reunite scene?
Cause yeah, would have been the last chance.
Any legit confirmations, or hints they were ever on any set together, same day, location, anything?
I hope they filmed at least a moment together.

Does the shot make sense in reverse? Not really. But could have Maz gotten the Lightsaber from Leia (instead of the previous backstory idea from the leaked scene list for VII where Maz stole the saber)? Possibly.

I don't know what the scenes are going to be like with her, but it's going to be very emotional. I'm probably most sad that there was never a scene planned with Luke, Han and Leia. I think that scene of them at the script reading is maybe the last publicity shot of the three of them on set.

I do hope that the Skywalker twins Luke and Leia have a reunion scene in Episode 8 and if they do then I can only imagine how Leia will react when she sees her twin brother again because I am sure it has been years since they have seen each other given the fact that Luke trained her son his nephew Ben before he turned to the dark side becoming Kylo Ren and then her losing Han I wonder how she will truly feel seeing her brother again

I think it's better that way. It seems the press was way over-zealous with wrongly reporting she would be in episode IX without ever contacting anyone at lucasfilm.
