All-Star Marvel

First Sergeant Jean Grey/Marvel Girl: Cobie Smulders

Also my pick for Wonder Woman, but that's neither here nor there. When I look at Cobie, I see a woman who just has that look of power about her. I could totally believe that she's the most powerful mutant in existence or that she's a doctor, which just so happen to be two sides of Jean Grey. As soon as I thought of her, I couldn't picture anyone else.

You get Jason Segel as Colossus and NPH as Angel and all of a sudden we got How I Met Your Mutant

Well, nobody cared - but I was kidding. Thanks guys. :cmad:

...

:waa:

As long as I tossed my two cents in about the soundtrack, I suppose I should toss something in here too.

DAMIAN AL-GHUL WAYNE (DC World of Heroes)

Arsalan Ghasemi

robin_arsalam.png

This is a young Iranian actor, and there's a specific reason I went looking for Middle Eastern actors when I started thinking about casting Damian Wayne. I often see fans throw people like Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee into casting debates with Damian. I don't think that rings true to the very heavy Arab and Chinese ancestry that Damian gets from Talia and Ra's however. And any kid is going to be hard to cast as a 10 year old assassin. The key is going to be the eyes and Arsalan Ghasemi definitely has the eyes to where he could pull off a serious gaze.

All-Star Marvel

Stephen Strange-James Franco

Franco is my choice for my younger, less stuffy version of Stephen Strange. He's got the build I'm looking for, as well as the look.

James_Franco.jpg

Karl Mordo- Viggo Mortensen

viggo-mortensen-viggo-mortensen-285.jpg

Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat-Alexandra Daddario

She's a beautiful girl, with ridiculous eyes. Seriously ridiculous. And she's a decent actress.

Blade-Idris Elba

Yea, I know he's gonna be in like 10 Marvel movies already. I don't care!:cmad:

idris-elba.jpg

I'm sorry, but Idris Elba has already signed a 25 post deal to appear as Luke Cage.

MAJOR RE-CAST

Dr Isley - Gwenyth Paltrow
I personally, believe she's amazing in every role she's given. She can pull of sharp, corporate business woman, recovering alcoholic country singer and fun-loving supply teacher. She can certainly pull off the role of confident scientist, Pamela.

pepper-potts-4-thesun-co-uk.jpg

Starfire - Taylor Swift
She proved she could act in her brief stint in CSI. She's got that innocent look about her, but with that kind of femme fatale eye thing going on.

taylor_swift_.jpg

Anna Zee/Zatanna - Evangeline Lily
Femme Fatale. Femme Fatale. Femme Fatale.
beatheart.gif

Barbara Gordon - Olivia Wilde
Despite my absoloute anti-Olivia Wilde for Lois Lane beliefs, I actually believe she can pull off Babs. She has the acting ability to portray a very intelligent, strategic woman. I can't actually picture her as Batgirl, but as Babs she'll do a fine job.

Scarlet/Private Wanda Harkness - Helena Mattsson
Sharon Carter - Laura Vandervoort

All-Star Fantastic Four

Dr. Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic:
Matt Smith

The latest incarnation of Dr. Who is really one of the few actors I can see playing Reed in a movie. He does smart well while carrying the boyish look of a young genius who's in his late 20's. Loads better than Ioan Gruffudd. And I like the latest Doctor's style. Yeah, I want Mr. Fantastic rocking that bow tie.

Dr. Sue Storm/Invisible Woman: Maggie Lawson

Big time Psych fan and I love Maggie Lawson.

Johnny Storm/The Human Torch: Garrett Hedlund

Haven't seen the new Tron movie, don't really care that much about seeing it, but Hedlun caught my eye a few years back in Friday Night Lights. In that, he played a cocky ladies man who loved to party hard and deal with a less than stellar father figure in his life. Sounds pretty close to Johnny and the backstory EBJ set him up with.

USAF Major Ben Grimm/The Thing: Ryan Hurst

Maybe not a conventional choice, but I've been watching Ryan Hurst play jocks and dumb characters for nearly ten years now. But it was his work in Sons of Anarchy that showed me he was a damn fine actor. A large guy who could work as Ben in the suit, and at the same time he's a good enough actor to pull of the emotional baggage that comes with being Ben.

Ultimate DC

Mia Dearden/Speedy: Brie Larson

She proved to me in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World that she can play a rough-around-the-edges character, yet at times she still has that young/innocent look to her.

The soundtrack thread was resurrected recently, so why not the casting thread as well?

Ultimate DC

Victor Stone/Cyborg - Michael B. Jordan
He was great as a young drug dealer in The Wire, and recently played a football player on Friday Night Lights, diverse and different roles that tell me he could pull something like this off.. Plus he's got the perfect look I'm going for.

lg__MICHAEL_B_JORDAN_Vince_Howard.jpg

Linda Danvers/Kara Zor-El/Supergirl - Katrina Bowden I think she's a great comedic actress with a touch of vulnerability, and some of that has to be brought to the role of Kara, especially the way she's been written in the game. And I mean....come one....

katrina-bowden-equire-me-in-my-place-04.jpg

Supergirl.jpg

There's a resemblance haha

Jenny Sparks - Carey Mulligan She's British, which is a necessity for Jenny to me. Also, she's a very gifted actress that can bring a sense of gravitas to the role of being a 100 year old immortal super-being. Plus she's the star of "Blink", one of my all time favorite Doctor Who episodes.

carey-1.jpg

Jack Hawksmoor - Julian Mcmahon An intense protector of his teammates, and the oldest non-immortal in their group in this universe, Julian would play a great Hawksmoor.

Julian-McMahon-nt13.jpg

There are more important characters for the arc I'm doing, but that's it for now. Don't want to give everything away.:woot:

Im going to be honest, I think my own casting abilities suck so this isnt based on anyone's acting. But. Just based on looks. I could see Matt Bomer or Milo Ventimiglia as Elijah Stokes/Inferno of CAH

Oh, and this might be a little late in the game, but....

UDC Wonder Woman: Lena Headey

Main200902241453257160242_lena_headey.jpgx

I know she's a common pick for Wondy, but seriously, she'd dead on.

Without a doubt, my choice for the Grim Reaper

Ben Kingsley

One Earth

Captain America/Steve Rogers - Chris Evans. Honestly I loved him in First Avenger. I think he's perfect for the part, and I can't really picture anyone else in the role.

Green Lantern/Alan Scott - Tim Robbins. Robbins is a great actor, and has the look I'd be looking for Alan.

Maxwell Lord - Bradley Cooper. Lord is a dick. Cooper can play that well, and can also pull off being a physical and mental force.

Rick Flag - Bruce Willis. I want Flag to come across as a war-weary verteran who's seen more action in the field than the rest of his young team combined (save for Cap of course). And say what you want about Willis, but he's an action start through and through.

Sasha Bordeaux - Summer Glau. Hot female action-capable star that has already played a cyborg-like character. Fits pretty well if you ask me.

Clint Barton/Hawkeye - Jensen Ackles. Smart mouthed and sarcastic, and able to pull of action scenes. Fits well.

Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow - Scarlet Johansson. Not that she's the ultimate choice, but I think she fits the role the best out of anyone out there.

Cliff Carmichael/Thinker - Shia La Beouf. I want to make Cliff a hige dick. And Shia is a huge dick.

Jean Grey/Marvel Woman -Evangeline Lilly. Not exactly sure why, but she popped into my head.

Coming soon: Jay Garrick, Ted Grant, Amanda Waller, Sharon Carter, and others!

Some casting choices for Ultimate DC:

Lex Luthor: Benedict Cumberbatch
Lex.png
After watching his performance in Sherlock, I can definitely see him as the smooth, fast-talking, cold-hearted super-genius that UDC Lex is. Just shave his head and hope he can do an American accent and you're gold.

Dick Grayson/Robin: Joseph Gordon-Levitt
joseph-gordon-levitt.jpg
And yes, a lot of that is stemming from the fact that I hope he's actually playing Grayson in Dark Knight Rises.

Raven: Alia Shawkat
alia_2.jpg
This one was ridiculously difficult to think of, because it's hard to think of decent age-appropriate actresses that could pull off Raven's personality. Shawkat was a wonderful snarky smart-ass in Arrested Development, and while that character was a little too bright and chipper, I'm sure it could be toned down and goth'ed up to suit Raven.

Starfire: Emilia Clarke
Emilia-Carke-1.jpg
Her performance in Game of Thrones really sold me on her having the kind of 'otherworldly' quality, without going for the immediate choice of Summer Glau (as much as I love Ms. Glau and wish to father her children some day)

And representing the Legion of Doom....

Vandal Savage: Timothy Dalton
savage.png
Oh, like you can't see it.

Professor Ivo: Toby Jones
TOBY_JONES_DREAMLORD.png
His one-off performance in Doctor Who was pretty much exactly what I was thinking of for Ivo, someone who's witty and 'whimsical,' and yet thoroughly vile.

Maxie Zeus: Malcolm McDowell
malcolm-mcdowell-image-02.jpg
McDowell's got all the presence of a god, and all the crazy of a Gotham City lunatic, so it's a perfect match.

Cheetah: Katee Sackhoff
002.jpg
An action-chick who's totally and utterly screwed in the head. Yup, time to call Katee Sackhoff.

Killer Frost: Stumped at the moment; I'll come up with one later.

Atomic Skull: Ron Perlman (voice)
75113.jpg
I figure the whole 'nuclear fiery skeleton' thing you could just do with CGI.

Solomon Grundy: Kevin Michael Richardson (voice)
MV5BMTI0OTg2NDQyOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMTAwNjkzMQ_V1_SY314_CR200214314_.jpg
He's that guy with the super-deep gravelly voice from, like, every cartoon and video game ever. And Solomon Grundy needs a super-deep gravelly voice. The actual visual effects I'd do with suits and animatronics, like the trolls from Hellboy 2.
