I mentioned this in the other thread, I want to see him in the sequel, mostly because he's got a different power that's not really based on physical strength, but manipulation of electrical current, which Spidey has to be smarter to defend and fight against.

It's not so much typecasting because he's not THAT well known, but Michael C. Hall from Dexter is who I would go with.

This is the villain I want most for 4 (over the lizard who I hope is in 5) so I hope if they use him they get someone great to play him. Off the top of my head I can't really think of anyone to cast as electro though I think Michael C. Hall would be a good choice.

i like the Ultimate Comics version of Electro bald headed with no pupils or all white eyes i think that would look sick. i'm thinkin Billy Zane from Demon Knight with white eyes and he's been known to play a few villanous roles

Actually I've never really considered electro for one of the movies but I think he would work nicely. I agree he'll challenge spidey in a different way as he's not the i gotta beat him up kind of villain. Casting wise, I dont know yet Michael C Hall seems fine.

Not sure i'd go with the ultimate version of him though, looks too much like Dr Manhattan who'll be making his movie debut next year.

Which version, actually is it that everyone seems to be envisioning, Ben for, cause, I don't think I really get that choice

A bit of Ultimate and the old mixed. No one wants to see old Electro's costume on the big screen and I do think the old back story is better than more science experimentation of the Ultimate.

I always had in mind that Electro would be a poor down and out Power and Light worker who ends up with a rare form of cancer. He has to start taking new drugs as well as radiation treatment on a regular basis. One day he is working on some cables and lightning strikes it and he figures out he has to have electricity to survive or otherwise he gets weak.

I think Ben Foster is a wonderful character actor and he can do evil pretty damn good.

^The one that swims

Water and electricity don't mix well....and neither does Michael Phelps and spider-man

Plus Phelps looks like he is a few fries short of a Happy Meal:o And the way he says Bejing in the Rosetta Stone commercials is hilarious...he says it like Bejeang:woot:

I always had an idea for an Electro origin for a SM movie and Ben fits that perfectly. He can play creepy and evil to a T.

Max Dillon is a down on his luck lower class who has no family left. He is a loner. He is the opposite of Peter Parker. He turned tragedy into more tragedy with gambling and drinking. Max recently found out he has cancer and with no insurance, how is he going to pay for all of this? He takes out a sketchy loan from a loan shark and starts chemo and some new drugs, slowly loosing his hair and his humanity. The loan shark beats him up and warns him to pay him back with interest. Max starts working overtime for NYC Power and Light, his mundane 9-5 job, when he gets called out to work on a transformer. He meets another worker there and they begin to work.

A storm fast approaches and the man on the other end of the walkie talkies tell them to get down fast. They pack up and Max heads down but the other guy's harnass is stuck. Lighting strikes near as the wind blows and the rain falls. Max sees the fear in the other man's eyes but cowardly begins to descend as lighting hits a pole across the street, sending sparks flying. Max descends past a set of transformers as lightning strikes the lines they are on causing a massive explosion of sparks as the bolt passes through the lines onto the transformers and through Dillon. Max is sent flying backwards while the other guy lays limp in his harnass. The resulting EMP wave causes the whole city block to go black.

Fast forward...Max has to have electricity to survive as he finds out. If not, he gets really weak. The drugs and the radiation treatment affected his genes somehow along with the massive dose of electricity. He kills the loan shark and discovers his new ability. We can have a massive fight with Spider-Man in Times Square where Electro begins to ascend upward from all the electricty of the neon signs and lights feeding him.

*I think Electro should not be able to fly or float...just in that one instant in Times Square. He should look more like the Ultimate version...no lame green jump suit and mask. Whatever villian is paired in the same movie...I want them to somehow fight. We have not had a villian vs villian battle and I think it could work.

I think that Aaron Staton would do a great job with the part of Electro.

some random names just to put there,(off the top fo my head) that I could almost see...

Skeet Ulrich
Tom Everett Scott
David Wenham
Adam Goldberg ???

Maybe Lukas Haas as Max Dillon/Electro

^now, there's an interesting choice, he’s good (from what I’ve seen of him, anyway)
maybe, still a little on the young side (but, he doesn't look that young, atleast)

Lukas Haas, Marky Mark.. this thread has no credibility
