I'm not familiar with David beyond Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld. He'd be a novel choice, I'm just not sure if he's done any non-comedy endeavors.

I have two top picks for Vulture: Peter Capaldi and Richard Jenkins. Which of the two would be better?

Capaldi, but Jenkins has had some good roles recently. He'd probably make a better uncle ben though. Capaldi has that creepy, menacing look to him

I'm not big on just grabbing the go to "it" type actor, but watching Breaking Bad, not only does Cranston have the look of Norman, he shows he can handle the so called nice guy, the business sense, the menace, and the insanity, particularly in focusing his attention on a perceived threat.

Highmore is starting to become my number one choice for spidey the more I think about it. He'd be a really good SSM-inspired peter. And this is gonna sound odd, but I think Dylan O'Brien would make an awesome Harry!

And as for Cranston as Osborn? He'd kill it. My number one choice is Dicaprio, but that may be a longshot.

Highmore has an immediate innocence that could be brought to Peter, and he could make for a very memorable and likable PP/Spidey.

One big factor is that even though he's around the same age he looks younger than the big two (O'Brien and Lerman), and I easily see him giving a really nice peter portrayal as well as a very fun spiderman. He kinda channels that classic 60s-70s peter in a way
