Again harry it's all about looks of the actor. Again no reason they will limit every single midtown character to 18 to 20 only. I am sure there will be some cast young and some a few yrs older the asa or tom.
Not EVERY character, but the main characters will be cast around Asa/Tom's age so they won't age out of their roles. I'd say 21 will be the age limit
Again big freaking woop if they cast someone 21 22 23 to play 15 to 18 yrs old. It's a not to much older then role they play. And too again if we get someone with a young face they can still be young enough for a few films. Ans hell who knows if we see flash Liz Sally Kong all the time for that matter.
Going by that logic, Marvel would have cast Dylan O'Brien in the role or they would have been looking at actors in the 22-24 age range, we have learned from all four of the Trades that they're going with actual teens for LONGEVITY, so we can have 3 films and they don't start looking their age.
a example I am turning 30 next week. And I am always pegged by folks when they meet me as 20 or 21 ish yrs old. Cause I have a young fresh face more so if I shave.
problem is, the actors cast won't be playing 21 year-olds until at least after the third movie, they're going to have to STAY looking like teenagers for 3 films. Deadline has stated that Marvel wants a High-School trilogy out of the actor and before you bring up the MCU's real-time, it will most likely be altered or thrown out the window altogether. if Marvel pushes back several MCU films for Spider-Man, then you know they won't hesitate to alter the time the movies take place in for Spider-Man. Kevin Feigue & Amy Pascal want a High-School trilogy and one way or another, they're GOING to get one.
again really no need to limit the whole cast as just teens. We likely see them look at 18 to 24 yr olds for the rest of the cast of teen characters.
and again, that eliminates the purpose of casting a younger actor for Peter Parker. what's the point of them casting a teenage actor for Peter Parker when they're going to go the past films route and cast older actors for his supporting characters? it really makes no sense at all.
And like I said last night emma was like 21 when cast for asm. Flash actor was like 26 at the time and they looked hs aged actors. Same I am sure for some of the other actors used for hs scenes in asm. Some younger some older.
Andrew and Emma never even looked like actual High-School students in the first place, they casted older actors around them so they wouldn't stand out and even THEN, they weren't playing 15-16 year-olds, they were playing 17-19. they could never pass for 15-16 year-olds. the older the age, the more the line blurs
