Hall as Lizard would be awesome! And Crews would be a blast as Rhino, he's an awesome guy (and as of yesterday he's officially out of the running as Luke Cage)

I listed most of the villains we've seen already with the exception of Venom (Goblin, Octopus, Sandman, Venom, Lizard, Electro, Rhino), in case Marvel ever decides to bring them back. Venom just doesn't do anything for me as a character, also I couldn't think of anyone to play him. And again, I'd rather just see villains we haven't seen for the first few movies. Goblin and Ock are the only two I want to see again anytime soon.

I'm not eager to see venom any time soon. I do think Eddie Brock himself would be a nice addition to the Bugle though. I do very much wanna see Connors again though, I really think they can make him someone Peter can confide in, whether he's a professor or a scientist Peter interns for (I for one would do both!). Norman as himself is a must, but I'd wait at least two movies to bring in Goblin. (And I don't wanna see Harry goblin until Harry has a wife and a son, that's what makes his descent into madness so insane)

I liked Ifans's performance, but they simply left out too much of what makes Lizard tick for him to have much of an impact. The deleted scenes prove this. The Goblin Arc needs to be a much more gradual thing than it's been in the past movies. Maybe introduce Norman in the first movie and have hints to what will come later. Octavius really needs to be brought back. It's been too long.

Ifans was good casting, and he was a fine villain for an origin film. That being said, he would've been better if he wasn't sharing the film with the origin, Lizard is a villain that should be done sympathetically. I think it'd be cool if when he comes back, he's not the main villain but instead his strings are being pulled by someone else (maybe calypso like in torment, or the goblin, or they could even make it work with mysterio). If Connors was established films before he goes Lizard, it'd be more effective.

I think Aaron Paul would be a great Electro, but am I the only one who thinks he'd also be a great Eddie Brock? His appearance would be more similar to ultimate Eddie Brock

Paul would make a great Ultimate Eddie Brock but for 616 Eddie, I want Sam Witwer or Alan Ritchson:

I think Ritchson could make a good Flash Thompson too.

Ritchson would be a great Brock, I'm really into that casting!

Ritchson would make a better Flash in my opinion if anything.

He'd make a bad Eddie Brock though. It's hard to take him seriously or as menacing which Brock should be able to come off as.

No thank you to Witwer either. He was awful in Smallville.

I disagree. I think a lot of the different roles he's played, he would fit right in as Eddie Brock. The loser, the smarmy and charming conniver, the handsome pretty-boy/jock, and the hothead.

Witwer is a pretty good actor though Smallville was iffy for everyone during that season. I think he'd make a great Eddie Brock.

First Aaron Paul for Flash, then Aaron Paul for Hal Jordan, then Aaron Paul for Kyle Rayner, now Aaron Paul for Eddie Brock? I actually approve this time.

I wish we could go back to 2012 where everyone liked Andrew Garfield and it seemed possible that that universe could be part of the avengers universe. I can't believe one movie was bad enough to destroy all that good will for this version.

I hope that if marvel does get the rights that they leave it to the audience to decide if they the Garfield movies are cannon or not. Like how TIH started in South America, and skimmed over his origin. Rumor has it marvel isn't wanting to do a third spin on his origin so that's good.

It wasn't really one movie. It was roughly half a dozen potential movies that Arad, Tolmach, Pascal, and other moron Sony execs wanted in addition to ASM2. Desperation to set up things like Sinister Six and Venom (the symbiote was supposed to be set up in ASM2) were a big part of the reason ASM2 was such a mess.

I thought ASM 1 was a decent, if not somewhat mediocre, start that could have been built upon towards something much greater but looking back, knowing what we know now, it was sort of doomed from the beginning.

TASM1 for me was a modest but completely engaging origin film that could've led to so much more. I'm a fan

Personally really liked TASM1. The origin story was done well and the casting was perfect. Better than the Thor films in my opinion. Unfortunately TASM2 came along and ruined everything.

He doesn't look remotely like he's in high school though. He could be Peter's gym teacher however, Mr "Flash" Thompson, who picks on him and makes fun of him in front of the other kids for having no athletic ability.

Lololololololol Thadddddddddddddd. He definitely looks like Eugine.

Too many cooks in the kitchen and still are. Pascal, Tolmach, Arad... they all need to go. Plus, my God... the casting choices they want for some of the Six members do not fit at all with those characters. Talkbackers on here and manippers on deviantart have been casting picks than Sony execs.

I defend Webb because I think he set out to make two good Spider-Man films but there was some bad editing, writing, and miscalculated decisions by Sony and those running the reboot films. I don't know maybe the idea of Norman's decapitated head and some of the other ideas were Webb's alone but I think Webb wanted to make two exciting movies and what we ended up with were average to mediocre Spider-Man films. Marvel though could restore the character and his universe to excellence; the same with the Fantastic Four. And surely one day, Marvel is going to come knocking for the X-Men. It's only a matter of time. This can't last forever.

And for all the hate I give the 2014 "TMNT" film, Ritchson captured Raphael quite well in my opinion. The character design was too big, bulky, and seemed more like Conan the Barbarian Turtle but Ritchson's voice-work nailed the character.

The Fan cast

Peter Parker - Logan Lerman

Mary Jane - Freddie Highmore
