1. Well, Alice Eve would've made a pretty great Emma Frost (not sure about the boobs, they're split apart... but that don't mean they're fake!). However, that ship has sailed, an I think she'd be tops as Lionheart, seeing that superhero is British and very busty. And Alice can be very unpredictable (
She's Out of My League).
2. Funny you bring up James Caviezel.
He recently stated that the movie that made him a break-out star, The Passion of the Christ, nearly costed him his acting career. Nevertheless, I can't see him as a new Tony Stark.
3. Jason might have the moves to play Bullseye, and that's no denying it, but let's maintain the fact that Bullseye is a psycopath, the Joker of the Marvel Universe. My pick would be Jude Law, because he has a huge fiendish smile and can do action, plus his acting style would be perfect. Here's a shot to prove my point.
4. Anybody would be better as the Lizard than Rhys Ifans, who should've played Loki. I know
Little Nicky wasn't that great a movie (I, for one, didn't think it deserved the intense backlash), but Ifans' character was practically a blueprint for the character, even though a bit more over-the-top than what Tom Hiddleston delivered. Still...
5-7. Okay, if we're going with Ben Kingsley as Professor X, why are you using the actors from Bryan Singer's movies for Sabretooth and Magneto? Granted, I think you learned in the next fancast, so, ignore what I said.
1. True, I felt Alice was a missed opportunity and it Was She's Out of My League that got me hooked on her for the role. Unpredictable as you said, with enough of I don't give a damn sex appeal to boot. But Lionheart is definitely a good fit for her.
2. I could see that, it's like playing Superman. Once you do that then what. That's the unfortunate curse of playing legendary icons I guess. Caviezel could work as powerless Stark as he's just a bore wrapped up on his revenue stream businessman. He's also kinda of a mentor to Parker as well as he warns him to be weary of Osborne.
3. The only thing I saw Law in action wise was Repo Men. The movie was ok, but I did get a Bullseye from him. Joker of Marvel, I think loki gets that bid. Those two are some strange and cunning schemers. The gender swap Loki did can attest to this. Talk about mind freak lol! That said, I really wouldn't mind Farrell again.
4. Lmao, I thought I was the only who liked Little Nicky! I think Ifans would've rocked as Loki, but he might do a solid as Connors.
5-7: Lol, This is kind of an in joke as Erik and Creed were made to look exactly like their film counterparts to a "T". Charles on the other hand had a Ben Kingsley look to him. This could have been the writers or artists way of fan casting through their work. That's what they went with so I'm casting as close to their vision as I can.
1. Hell yes on Henry Simmons.
2. Hell yes here. I thought of Cam as Eddie Brock, but then I got to watching The O.C. and caught Chris Carmack. He might be better in the role, and Cam would be better off playing Iron Fist, seeing as that guy knows martial arts.
3. Chris Pine would've been tops as Hawkeye.
4. Not too familiar with Alex's work beyond Hawaii 5-0 to get a feel for him as Moon Knight.
5. Kudos for going unknown with Tigra. But I'm into Moon Bloodgood, seeing as she is closer to the character's height, and can play ass-kicking chicks.
6. Good pick on the White Collar gal. My vote's on Sydney Tamiia Poitier after seeing her performance in Death Proof.
7. I heard Mark Harmon suggested on **************.com. Hell, he'd be better in the role than Denis Leary, who could've played someone like Finn Cooley (always consider the Irish heritage!)
8. I actually read Estella's IMDB profile, and there are plenty of characteristics met for her: 5'9" and she's a world-class synchronized swimmer. I don't know if it has anything to do with fighting skills, but it's close enough. You've got my attention with this pick.
9. Damn! I really thought of Mike Epps as Turk in the role. Okay, he's known to play a ton of dumb sidekicks, but Charlie Murphy found his niche in playing evil gangsters, and there's nothing wrong with that. Thing is that Epps is somewhat swaying away from his niche and is playing suburban guys, but it would be great to see him try again. But if worse comes to worse, I've always have Tracy Morgan envisioned, seeing as he can play over-the-top funny in action-based films.
10. Not bad with Black Cat. I thought of Leelee Sobieski because she stands at 5'10" and practices martial arts as a hobby. But I've beaten that dead horse long enough. And seeing that Katie Cassidy (my pick for Kraven the Hunter's daughter Ana) has some moves in her belt after watching the third season of Supernatural, you have my word that you've hit some gold.
4. O'loughlin did a vampire show called Moonlight and seven episodes on The Shield.
5. Bloodgood is ok, aside from a cool sounding name I just get all the appeal. Aside from Terminator Salvation & that horrible Street Fighter movie, I guess she could do it but I'm not too crazy about her. That's the only actor/actress on this board that I can honestly say I care nothing about. I don't dislike her, but I'm just not a fan.
6. Sydney could work, but most choices have been picked for 616 characters, so I try to cast different actors for a different universe. Sometimes it doesn't work out though like Cassidy for blackcat.
7. I'm not too fond of Leary as Stacy either. I just don't see it. As for Cooley, I'm not really a fan of the character. He's just been an irish jigsaw knock off. As a matter of fact, I'm not fond of the entire kitchen irish or barracuda, Up is down, black is white arcs. Those are Ennis' three most childish max arcs to me. Not as childish as most of what Aaron has done, but close.
8. Lol, she's just a hottie with a body!
9. Epps from his movie work is different from his stand-up. Epps on his showtime comedy show is just all Epps as himself. Maybe when Ice Cube wants to do another Friday he can go back to what he does best.
10. I wanted to cast someone different that hasn't been used before, but sometimes it's damn near impossible. Especially for alternate reality stories. Sometimes I just want to recast the actors I've cast before but that would be lazy. Plus not all alternate reality versions of characters act/look alike.
1. I wouldn't be against Jay Tavare as Thunderbird. But after seeing ager's fancast for a movie centered around the Proudstar brothers, I'd like to see the Spears brothers play them; Eddie as Warpath, and Michael as Thunderbird. What say you, though?
2. Nice pick for Punisher.
3. My vote's on Wentworth Miller as Taskmaster. Like Michael Scofield, Tony Masters is very intelligent and clever. Typecasting? You be the judge. But I borrowed it after seeing JoshW's fancast for S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. But Tahmoh is my pick for a brand new Cyclops.
4. Jesse Plemmons might make for a good Cannonball.
5. Do me a favor and watch Drive Angry 3D when it becomes available on DVD/Blu-Ray (unless you did already). Amber's performance in that movie is the perfect blueprint for playing Rogue.
6. What about Louis Mandaylor as Avalanche? He's 6' and of Greek ancestry. Not that I wouldn't hate Derek Phillips.
7. Wow, Edward James Olmos' wife? Sounds fascinating. I don't know if we need a full-on exotic actress, just one that's half-American. But I'll trust your judgement on this one.
8. I think AnnaLynne McCord is perfect for Tabitha Smith. Especially when the character becomes part of Nextwave. Her sense of humor would be right on.
9. John Slattery could work as Magneto.
10. Not bad for Scarlet Witch. Nikki looks like she's the offspring of John Slattery.
Great cast, dude.
1. The Spears Brothers look the part no doubt, but I haven't seen any of their work.
2. Thanks, I was sold on him from A-Team. The pieces I saw with him had him doing good action. Plus he has a look that scream "I can snap at any minute, docile looking or not."
3. Tahmoh could work as a Quitely Cyclops for sure, but I'm not fond of his art work save for we3 & bite club. Miller, I just don't see it. He seems to young. Taskmaster strikes me as a guy that's mid to late thirties. Maybe early 40s. Miller just seems to fresh faced to be considered for the role. He might make a good Hood though.
4. Anh, too much of muscular frame. The cannonball I'm used to seeing has a slim, almost wiry build. The Blob in House of M kinda has more of muscular build than a bulgy one, so I went with Plemons. Just get a muscle suit on him similar to Kingpin's build and he's perfect.
5. I'm sorry, there's no way I'm sitting through drive angry lol! I'll just have to take your word for it.
6. Maybe a few years back when he was younger, but now he'd have to bulk up some and die his hair to cover the gray.
7. yes, Olmos got lucky with this one lol! Elektra always had that exotic look save for her ultimate counterpart. Mostly Elektra has an exotic sex appeal with looks that match, kind of like Stana Katic. Plus her english is great!
8. Annalynne I could see, I think she'd make a better fit for House of M Boom Boom instead.
9-10. This is the one I'm most proud of. I wanted to cast two actors that look like they could be related but also closer to their House of M counter parts, especially Magneto.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
