Wow, talk about a mad tear.

- Where were you when I could've used Rupert Grint for Toad in my X-Men: Children of the Atom fancast on **************? That's gotta be the best choice I've seen so far.
- Odette Yustman's the perfect Ultimate Scarlet Witch, seeing as they're both 5'9".
- Your Alpha Flight cast, besides Emmanuel Chriqui (god, so gorgeous!) lacks genuine Canadian actors/actresses. But don't think I'm crapping on you too hard, because there's plenty of strong actors there. They just don't seem to belong.
- I think Callisto's supposed to be a little younger than Carrie-Anne Moss. But that's me.
- I think Michael and Eddie Spears should play John and James Proudstar respectively. It gives the characters a realistic family presence.
- If Emma can do an American accent for Boomer, cool beans! I think the ideal choice for Tabitha Smith during the Nextwave stories would be Elisabeth Harnois.
- Odd choice for Stephen Lang.
- Brad Pitt would've made a great 616 Fury. Oh well, we got Sam Jackson.
- In my opinion, the best pick for Henry Pym would be Colin Ferguson. As with Christian Kane's performance in Leverage being perfect for Wolverine, Colin's performance in Eureka is dead-honest proof that he would rock as Hank. He's good at being insecure, self-loathing, and sometimes funny.
- Olivia's gaining some love to play Janet van Dyne. Can't argue there. My choice would be Autumn Reeser (see No Ordinary Family).
- I've heard Jon's name thrown around for Mr. Fantastic on LEEE777's Fantastic Four fancast on **************. Very fantastic choice.
- Not sure about Kristen Bell as Sue Storm. I've got a few choices: Allison Mack and Sarah Chalke (she's had experience of playing a doctor).
- Ryan could be sick as Human Torch. Though I'm in favor of Travis Van Winkle (he's got sick comic timing and is great at playing *****ebags). Plus he's younger than my picks.
- True, Ben Grimm was handsome in the comics at one point.
- Stephen Moyer would've made an excellent Wolverine (though your cast is not set in a new X-Men movie universe).
- Eric Bana as Galactus is a little weird for me.
- I saw clips of John Malkovich in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and he would make a great J. Jonah Jameson in the new Spider-Man rebooted universe.
- Tim Robbins does have a dynamic voice to play both Norman Osborn and the Green Goblin.
- We're stuck with Emma Stone for Gwen Stacy. Hayden would've been rock solid.
- Danielle is in her 30's now, I don't see her playing young Mary Jane Watson. But an adult MJ would be better.
- Nah, for the life of me, Ryan Gosling doesn't strike me as Daredevil. We need someone with a better vocal presence.
- I've heard Bryan's name tossed around in various Daredevil movie fancasts.
- John Cena doesn't play dim-witted characters, at least as far as I'm concerned. They're just stuck in bad movies.
- I'm guessing you saw EditNinja's Daredevil fanedit on YouTube to see Stephen Marcus as Kingpin.
- Pretty solid choice for Karen Page.
- Not familiar with Glorianna O'Brien. But Rachel Weisz is a rock-solid actress, so I'll see anything with her in it.
- Dominic Purcell is, IMO, Hercules. He has a pretty solid voice and would be excellent spitting period piece dialogue.
- Jason Statham as Hobgoblin is a weird choice. I see him more as Bullseye.
- Shia Labeouf = Iceman.
- Interesting Carnage.
- Armie Hammer = Colossus.
- HAH! Stephen Colbert. Then again, he has a voice for a megalomaniac like Mysterio. I'm fond of Alec Baldwin, seeing as he's got a similar inflection.
- I agree with you on Ed Norton. Oh well, isn't Mark Ruffalo a talented actor? I'll give him a shot before jumping down Marvel's throat.
- Hey, I'd be copa-frickin'-cetic with McDreamy as Doctor Strange. I've read some stuff about his character in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and it could be a genius casting, seeing as he's broadening his acting range.
- I figured Jason Statham's gf would be hitting a fancast. I'm not sure about Clea, though (give McDreamy a different actress than one he worked with). But I've got a few roles for her in mind: Amanda Sefton, Polaris, Sharon Carter, and Scarlet Witch.
- No to Jim Carrey as Nightmare.
- Nice pick for the voice of Blackheart.
- Ah, Vigs as Mephisto. Now that would be worthy of me paying a ticket for.
- I think Will Smith would fit Isaiah Bradley more than Luke Cage. Besides, Henry Simmons is practically the close-to-right height as Cage.
- Justin Timberlake sounds interesting as Iron Fist. But I think he'd be better as adult Harry Osborn.
- Colleen Wing is Asian-American, just a heads-up.
- Eh, Josh Duhamel's a no-go for me as the son of the Kingpin.
- There might not be any plans for a follow-up to Punisher: War Zone. Ray Stevenson might be done with the Punisher since he's moved over to play Volstagg in Thor. So nix him, Wayne Knight (a better choice for Mole Man), and Dominic West.
- Sweet-ass pick for Enchantress, despite typecasting.
- Vin Diesel's also another actor who, despite his looks, doesn't strike me as someone who veers towards roles of dumb characters. He's a decent pick for Mac Gargan.
- Odd pick for Kang the Conqueror.
- Tom Welling might be tops as Wonder Man.
- Ms. Marvel's a little older than Blake Lively. Rumor has it that Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski is in the running to play the role in a future Marvel-based film. But Lively would be a good choice for Namora.
- Here's a fun fact: Taye Diggs voiced the Black Panther in Marvel Super Hero Squad.
- I like Gerard for Ares more than Baron von Strucker.
- Meh, I'm not a big fan of Keira Knightley as Spitfire. I think Sienna Miller's a fan fave at **************. Plus, Miller isn't downright anorexic as Keira is.
- Sorry, not feeling Seann as John Walker. Go with someone taller and who isn't more of a jokester.
- Ooh, speaking of Scrubs! Nice Starfox pick!
- Nah, not really sure about Bartha as Beetle.

Hercules - Jeffery Dean Morgan

- Hollywood legends Martin Sheen and Sally Field in a comic book movie. Maybe that Spider-Man reboot won't be as bad as we're making it.
- Michael Biehn as Corsair does sound like an interesting choice. But I can see why he's being cast as Cable, seeing as there was a T-1000 reference in a Deadpool comic issue.
- Can't see Chris Pine as Captain Marvel.
- Connelly does deserve a good CBM.
- Whaddya think of Terry Crews as Thunderball?
- Ali Larter would be better suited for Valkyrie. Val's artwork from Secret Avengers looks like Ali from Stoned Age.
- Ultron would benefit from Corey Burton voicing him in his Shockwave voice.
- Ooh, not a big fan of your choice for Moon Knight. Let Brad stick to jokey roles.
- Great Frenchie pick!
- Now that is who 20th Century Fox (or hopefully Marvel Studios if they stand up and ask for the rights back) should court to play Weasel. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is one hell of a show, not like those sitcoms with the laugh track. And Charlie had a Zach Galifianakis-type explosion with Horrible Bosses, so I think we're gonna be seeing more of him if we're lucky.
- Interesting Black Cat choice.
- I can't be too sure of Kevin Connelly as Eric O'Grady. I'll need to see more of his work. Bret Harrison would make a more fitting choice.
- Hard to believe Steenburgen is 58. Not bad for an old broad. Dye her hair gray, and he'd definitely be the ultimate go-to girl for Madame Webb.
- I got to read a bit about D'Spayre. Sounds like an interesting pick.
- Very ballsy going into the DTV environment for Speedball.
- :wow: That's some picture you got there. Mama lucien! A nice Mockingbird, but I'd like someone closer to Jeremy Renner's age, be it Cameron Diaz or Jaime King. Mack would be great for the Invisible Woman.
- Laurence does bear some familiarity to Isaiah Bradley. But you do know that the character doesn't age quickly. We need someone younger, like Will Smith for example.
- I'll definitely cosign to MJW as Blade.
- Funny enough, Liam Neeson is also good for Mister Sinister. He's only a height below both characters, and would fit their profiles.
- Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a little pudgy looking these days. If he loses weight and benches 600 pounds a day, then yes, he's got the job.

Kevin Connolly would be Scott Lang, not Eric O'Grady, probably won't cast O'Grady.

I agree Michael Biehn would work as Cable, so I'm keeping him in the Summer's family

Ever seen Limitless, Bradley is good in serious roles and I think he plays a range of personalities, hence my pick for him as a schizophrenic.

Also comedy is harder than drama, a lot of these joksters play characters whose personality traits are played for jokes, but those personality traits cross over. Sean William Scott plays arrogant but kind of pathetic jocks very well, which is exactly how I see U.S. Agent

I knew Isiah aged slowly, but it's been what, 70 years, Fishburne seems a good approximation of a slowly aging dude.

- Oh, I forgot to read that it was Scott Lang, not Eric O'Grady
- I would choose Chris Carmack for Eddie Brock, Tommy "Tiny" Lister for Barracuda, and Dolph Lundgren for Cable.
- I think Rob Brown would make a better Night Thrasher (Dwayne Taylor). Not that I mind Tyrese.

Also, I've got a choice for Karen Page in the upcoming Daredevil reboot: Mischa Barton.

727243-karen_page1.jpg

mischa-barton.jpg

I've been catching up on The O.C. on DVD, and she's been surprisingly good 5 discs in the first season. Like when Marissa Cooper was going through alcoholism, that's pretty much how I'd envision Karen Page going through her darkest days and being foolish into exposing Matt Murdock as being Daredevil. Right now, she looks perfect for the mess that Karen becomes. But clean her up, and she can easily play the responsible secretary.

What say everyone here?

I've always thought of Justice as kind of a hunk who all the ladies found very attractive, but wasn't particularly popular with anyone else, so for him I made looks a huge part of it. I definitely shoehorn my own interpretation of the characters onto these castings, and so far no repeats. I will definitely be recasting Captain Stacy (as I did Gwen), I don't like Leary in that role, he's not even enough of a New Yorker (He likes the Red Sox, like me). I'm definitely sticking to late eighties, and some ninties characters, and perhaps a few "ought" characters, but mostly I'm assuming we're building from the beginning when I pick my actors.

My casting choices go as follows

- First I look for general attitude
- Then I try to think about how they could/would be used in a movie (comic relief, background, cameo, etc.). So for U.S. Agent, as he is a serious character, he also gets dumped on and is kind of a pathetic *****e, hence going slightly more comedic with SWS.
- Then I take looks into consideration
- Then finally if I think the character needs an adjustment to work, I might make a left field choice instead.

That's good you recast the Stacy family. Emma Stone seems too good for Gwen, and Denis Leary - despite being really good on Rescue Me - isn't suited for George (he's also of Irish decent, he should be playing Finn Cooley). Still, I'm willing to give The Amazing Spider-Man a shot.

Interesting info about why you cast SWS as US Agent and whatnot, by the way.

Okay folks, I know people don't like this that much, but I'm throwing up another challenge for anyone to take part in. Which role could one of the actor/actresses could fill. Throw in pictures as well that best matches whatever shot from a Marvel cover.

- Eh... I'm a little off on Clint Eastwood as George Stacy. Let's keep the star power grounded when casting characters of a lesser-known magnitude. I respect the effort, however.
- Not sure if Robbie Robertson was that old in the comics. It might be a good choice if we're going into Peter's adult years.
- What does Stan Lee and Jack Kirby have to do with being in the fan cast? Is it for some kind of in-joke scene?
- Clive does look quite a bit like Purple Man, so I'll tip you.
- Dude, I'd watch out for using that picture above. I used the same one, and I got hell, because you can see Zooey's nipples. Other than that, that's a great choice, man! And if that's a lip piercing on her lip, you can't sway me otherwise.

By the way, anyone want to take a crack at casting these actors/actresses in whatever role that would fit.

You can see Zooey's nipples? Really. The Mods are welcome to remove it if that's the case, I'm just not seeing it. It was in a very PG-13 magazine.

It seems to me Clint isn't really going to be able to handle a large role. Plus if his death played out how it did in the comics I think he'd work.
- Not sure if Robbie Robertson was that old in the comics. It might be a good choice if we're going into Peter's adult years.
Robbie had a teenage son, and white hair, I'd say his age is a little hard to ballpark.
- What does Stan Lee and Jack Kirby have to do with being in the fan cast? Is it for some kind of in-joke scene?
Basically, yes. Stan and Jack made appearances in many famous stories including much of the early Spider-Man and Fantastic Four issues and also the Phoenix Saga.
- Clive does look quite a bit like Purple Man, so I'll tip you.

I think people forget that Mary wasn't a ninja but rather a "normal" girl with telekenetic powers, there is no reason to cast someone with an "action girl" build for that role.

I never criticized your choice for Typhoid Mary by the way. I said that it was a great choice.
