Iceman was raised in a non-religious home. His mother his Jewish, but his father is Irish Catholic.

(*technically Judaism is passed from mothers, not from fathers, but this is a rather moot point since his religious affliations are entirely subtextual).

Okay, you beat me.

How about Owain Yeoman as Captain Britain?

Sorry about the bad photoshop to make his hair blond.

I starting to wonder if it would be better just to mo-cap, the Thing....
so, they don't have to worry about findin someone who fits the physical size needed to play Thing, and just focus on getting a good actor who can play Ben

With today's technology, a mo-cap Thing could work. Just look how awesome Ceaser turned out in ROTPOTA.

Purefoy as Doom = win.

I think the Thing can and should be mo-capped in any future FF movies.

Lately I have really started liking the idea of Ben Affleck as Ben Grimm. IMO, he can definitely pull off both the loveable goofball side (like when he is goofing around with Johnny) and the rough and tough side (like when it's clobberin time!).

Good lord, you guys are just now thinking about a cg Thing? There's no other way unless you want another undersized feeble looking thing. He needs to look like the big orange powerhouse that he is.

Really? Hamm is Reed Richards if anything.

The rumblings on the Fantastic Four Reborn thread suggest that Reed Richards is supposed to be middle-aged, while Sue Storm is mid-20's to early-30's. Alexis Denisoff is the undisputed fan favorite for Reed (next to Billy Cruddup and Matthew Morrison), and Jon Hamm wound nail the Noo Yawk accent of Reed.

What do you think of my other choices?

Jon Hamm is an interesting choice. I agree he's more Reed, but I can't say I couldn't see him as Ben. There is a logic to it.

She-Hulk - Lake Bell

Y'know, speaking of She Hulk, I wonder what the chances are of David E Kelly making a She Hulk show. It's right up his alley what with the eccentric lawyer thing and he must be some sort of fanboy if he was willing to take a chance on Wonder Woman.

She Hulk is much more his sort of thing than Wonder Woman

@ Red.Star.Killer's Uncanny X-Men fancast

- I somehow see Sean Patrick Flannery as Banshee. While Damien Lewis is a great actor, I've got him for Hannibal King (seeing as he looks like him in some respect). Meanwhile, Flannery has the Irish thing going on, and would definitely kick some ass as well (black belt in karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). But this is YOUR fancast, so I won't argue. Different strokes for different strokes.
- I like Kerry Washington as well, but because I'm of different taste, I've got Gina Torres for Storm. She's tall and has an epic voice in my eyes.
- I was actually thinking of using Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Rogue for an X-Men fancast on **************'s website. And you have me convinced. Although I like Vanessa Ferlito (she's mastered the Southern girl voice in Man of the House and Madea Goes to Jail).
- Wow. Can't argue with your choice of an actual Louisiana-born actor for Gambit. :woot:
- I remember you chose Milo Ventimiglia for the role of Nightcrawler in the past. Would someone explain why he'd be perfect for the role, besides looks?
- I've actually seen HailToTheKingBaby's fancast for Daredevil, and he made a great judgment call with Jensen Ackles as Deadpool. He plays the character on Supernatural when the scenes call for comedy (probably watch the "I'm Batman" clip to get the gist). As Cyclops, I just don't see it. You did better when you cast his fellow Supernatural co-star Jared Padalecki.
- You know, I may go with Trevor Donovan as Angel, since Trevor has played the character in 90210 in the past. Funny how the guy is in his 30's in real life, but can convince as a teenager on TV. Chris Carmack's knack for playing vindictive characters would translate well if he played Eddie Brock.
- Joe Mangianello as Proudstar? His IMDB profile states that he is of Sicilian, Austrian, German and Armenian descent. Not sure how that translate into playing one of the brick ****-house Indians, whoever you have him cast as, John or James.

Rest of the cast is top notch. Hope to see the rest, as well as who you'd cast for Shadowcat and Emma Frost.

I don't know if a She-Hulk film is in the works, yet The Incredible Hulk, Mockingbird, and Jessica Jones are. But I wouldn't see David E Kelly doing it if he dropped the ball on Wonder Woman.

But Lake Bell would be great in the role, big-screen or small-screen. She's played a lawyer before (Boston Legal), has the body required to kick ass, and is very funny to boot.

Can some of you casting experts come up with an Alpha Flight casting?

I would like to see She-Hulk turn up in the Avengers sequels. Imagine if the studio brings in characters like Vision, Wonder Man, She Hulk, Scarlet Witch, etc. Make it a rotating cast, once Evans, Downey Jr., Thor, etc, leave once their contracts are up. She Hulk could be one of the main Avengers in Avengers 4 or something.

I too would like to see a rotating cast for the Avengers. To be honest, I'm a little dissapointed the cartoon "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" is maintaining the same cast (mostly).
