The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

I know. The Creeper to me is almost borderline hero/villain because he is such a loose cannon. Either way, he'd make for an interesting cameo in a future Bat-film down the line.

Plus, he's funny to have in a Batman story, because no matter what, he anoys the hell out of Batman. In his Jack Ryder personality, he anoys Batman because Jack Ryder is the definition of the egotisticall jurnolist who gives the public "what they want" and not real jurnolism. In his Creeper pesonality, he's just an anoying little ****. It'd be funny to have them in a room together.

If there was some way I could blank out Curb Your Enthusiasm from my mind, Larry David would be the perfect Ventriliquist.
That would be kool.

He should have been Lex, but yeah, he could work as Freeze.

Another "younger" actor who could play Freeze...Jason Isaacs (the Patriot, Peter Pan)

Oh yeah, he was awesome. He was also in the Harry Potter films, right?

due to the picture, naturally zane could be freeze.

plus, if you've heard his voice, you know that it can be somewhat deep and creepy at times.

No offense to the people who want Jolie... but am I the only person who notices that she gets named for EVERY female comic book character out there? Jolie should be Catwoman. Jolie should be Talia. Jolie should be Wonder Woman. Jolie should be Ava Lord. For Pete's sake, there is more than ONE actress in Hollywood, folks. I like her too, but this is getting as bad as when everyone was petitioning to have Jude Law play Superman, Batman, the Joker, Namor, Iron Man, etc.
I agree.
And while I could see Jolie doing a very good Catwoman, she's too much of a "celebrity" to really do the role justice. If you thought Katie Holmes' publicity circus hurt the movie, wait'll you see what an "Angelina Jolie is Catwoman" would do!

My choice for Catwoman is down to two actresses:

I like Carrie-Anne Moss for the role if Nolan and co. wanted to go the Ed Brubaker/Darwyne Cooke direction for the character. Plus she has a history with Nolan (Memento) and proved she could pull off the fighting in black leather (Matrix):

If they wanted to stick with a more sultry version of the character, I nominate Shannyn Sossamon.

The Joker - Lately I've been loving the manips of the Paul Bettany, but yet to see any of his films. He has the height (6'3"). But on acting skills, I'd like to see what Johnny Depp would do with the character. Sure he's only 5'10, but that can be inhanced. But I think no matter the manip of Conrad Veidt which has been going around will be used as the inspiration of design for The Joker, just like the comics. And if The Joker is going to be dressed in style, as he should, no purple. Just the black tuxedo. I like that Alex Ross approach.

Harvey Dent/Two Face - This has been around for a while. Liev Schreiber. The important thing about Dentis that he is the Appolo. He's a young, good looking guy with everything going for him. Then its destroyed and he goes nuts. Schreiber can play Dent and he's a good actor, he can tap into Two Face.

Penguin - I approach this as one of the minor characters for the films. A mob boss at the iceberg lounge with taste for tuxedos, booze, cigars, and women. I think Bob Hoskins would work marvelously in this role.

The Riddler - I hope they don't drag this series down with doing more after the supposed planned trilogy with Joker/Dent. The character, and in this case the actor, deserve more than a cameo. My pick? Edward Norton. He is fast becoming, if not already, one of the best actors today. He, along with Liam Neeson, saved Kingdom of Heaven from being absolute shiite. Check out Primal Fear and Fight Club, he's cerebal too. And he'll look awesome in the suit and bowler cap.

Catwoman - I like the approach of Year One and The Long Halloween. The prostitute who becomes a thieve and moves up into high class society. This is early in the Batman mythos therefore she has to be young......say 20. Kiera Knightley is already an action star and can actually act.

As for Paul Bettany, I could see him being a good Joker.
Also, I think that the purple he's wearing here is a good example of how Nolan and Co. would portray the Joker's color scheme. Nothing overly garish or cartoony, but nice dark, subtle purples:

Wow! Purple jacket, bluish white shirt, orange tie? Talk about a Joker-ish outfit!

This image is begging to be manipped!

Another actor I don't believe has been mentioned yet, who was originally rumored to be up for the role of Ra's Al Ghul, and probably could play a very good Joker...Viggo Mortensen (Lord of the Rings, A History of Violence).

The problem with casting Viggo is that he wouldn't do it.
He wasn't just rumored for Ra's, he flat turned down the role.

^ I've always seen Viggo as The Reaper... He'd be great!

As for the Riddler, I'd go for Ewan McGregor. He's perfect for the role!

I recently bought the 'HUSH' serious and I have to admit... The way they portrayed the Joker in it is just aweful! Since reading it, I just don't like the Joker anymore... he was just pathetic, nothing more. Still, if I had to cast him, I'd obiviously go for Adrien Brody.

Joker- Beniceio Del Torro
Two Face- Clive Owen
Riddler- Jude Law
Freeze- Patrick Stewart
Clayface- Vince Vaughn

I know the last 2 will not make it into nolans flicks but I think the actors fit well with the characters
