Michael Clarke Duncan= No, because he doesnt look like Roman Sionis
Ed Norton= No Because hes already The Hulk
Josh Brolin= Its cool. i dont mind the casting at all
Vincent Cassel= I personally have another choice but this guy is good
Nathan Jones= Yes
Rhona Mitra= IDK. HAvent seen enough of her movies.
Everyone has a problem with my wanted Michael Clarke Duncan as the Black Mask and people think I want him- cause you know--the obvious, he's a big black man.
-But this man has insane presence. He is a large enough man to offer a substantial threat to the Batman, physically. And physically- he resembles the Black Mask from the comics BEFORE the mask was burnt onto is face when he "died". I am not a fan of the "skull" mask interpretation- it works in the comics- but on film wouldn't look right. A simple black mask would be fine. And do I even have to mention the man's voice? His voice, size, and presence would make him a believable crime lord.
And as for looks- you don't have to ever see him WITHOUT the mask...he could also be an absolute. If you want to go with the Roman Sionis/Janus Cosmetics/buisness rival route- than cast Leonardo DiCaprio, but I think- physically, you lose something.
-Rhona Mitra is a relative unknown. Her movies, that I've seen, suck. But she did a very good run on
Nip/Tuck a few years back, during the "Carver" storyline. She's very sexy, not a bad actress, good presence and keeps your eye. She is coming out in the new
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, this next month, so people will know of her- and she can do action.
-Edward Norton...so what if he is Bruce Banner? That is a different universe, it's not like he was John Corben! Also, it doesn't even look certain that he will be playing the good doctor again, because if Hulk is in the
Avengers it may strictly be Hulk, without Bruce. If there is a
Incredible Hulk 2, which I know the producer wants- then we STILL don't know if Edward will be back, because of disputes with the studio over creative control.
Bottom line, Norton is one of our generations finest actors, he's not a HUGE name, but he has credibility. He could play the part, he would be very believable. If not him, I wouldn't mind Burton's choice, Robin Williams, if you want to go with an older, creepier Riddler. If you want real young, narcissistic Riddler, how about Michael Rossenbaum? He was the best part of
Smallville and can be menacing. He also looks like a dead ringer of the
Batman: The Animated Series Riddler.
-Nathan Jones. The man is one of the few that can convincingly pull off the size of Bane without prosthetics like Vinnie Jones wore in
X3: The Last Stand. With the mask, you can easily have someone dub his voice, Antonio Bandaris, maybe? Javier Bardem?
-Josh Brolin just LOOKS like Slade Wilson, and is a hell of an actor.
-Vincent Cassel is just a choice that I've had in my head for the part for a while.
