There's some misunderstanding. I never said ethnicity should solely define the casting. I did say that looking for a middle-eastern woman over a white woman, is fine given the character's origins. First priority, I guess you can say. They'd obviously be looking for all at the same time.

So as long as in the end the acting delivers, then I've no complaints.

Bruce Willis? Apart from his being bald, I don't really see it. I think he is a fairly poor actor, who survived the 80s action movies with a better reputation than Sly or Arnold purely because he didn't look so stereotyped.

I think Strong would be very effective. He has a certain understated menace about him, and he's a good enough actor that you could play off the tragic personal history of the character. He does accents pretty well, too.
