I hate to burst your bubble, but according to the comics Henri Ducard was french in the comics; however, he was an entirely different character than Ra's Al Ghul. In Begins they just use creative license and develop a decoy for Ra's that just happens to be named Henri Ducard; so with that being said, it is known the Ra's Al Ghul is originally believed to be originated to a tribe of nomads the deserts of Arabia.

Honestly, I've alwas thought that Marion's French accent is very unusual. She almost has a mid-Atlantic accent, assuming that she was educated in England.

Either way, yeah, she can most definately play Ra's daughter, and the accent just makes her more alluring.

The point being made is that those things that you think make sense have zero impact on casting choices in reality. It wouldn't influence who she plays at all.

Not that I'm against the idea of her as Talia, of course. She'd be great in either role.

I can't agree with you more. He could be anybody an i would watch the **** out him. One of the best character actor of his generation. You should watch his recent work My Son,My Son,What have u done? Produced by David lynch,directed by Werner Herzog.

You should watch his work in The Manchurian Candidate as a creepy scientist who always pops up in liev screiber's dreams. He's not just works perfect visually, this guy's got some serious range as an actor. Plus,he's only 5'5 t:
