If the cast isn't coming back, I want it to end at 3.

But if I had to go on:

Keep Topher alive for a possible Venom return in 5. Baker is good as Lizard (though I would love to say William H. Macy play Conners in a huge role, especially if Baker deoesn't appear in 3).

I would say if Black Cat does ever show up (though way too late in the game now IMO) I'd go with Elisha Cuthbert (there is a certain pic of her I saw years ago that made me think that and I stick by that).

For Kraven I like that Omer fellow. I really think Lizard, Kraven and possibly Black Cat would be enough for 4.

As for recasting....I dunno. I like the idea of Isla Fisher as MJ but I don't know who'd replace Maguire. I would've said Topher Grace a few years ago but now....heh. I just don't think audiences will buy anyone else in the roles of Pete and MJ now after THREE movies that CEMENTED Maguire and Dunst in the roles for the next decade or two (whether you like their portrayals or not).

So I am leaning at sticking with 3 though.

I'm not fully convinced that Cuthbert could play the role, simply because of her acting. I'd go with Eliza Dushku, but I doubt we'll even see Black Cat in a future film.
