Casting for the new Betty Ross

I think, no I correct myself I dont think, but hell I've got the hots for Anne Hathaway so I would like to see her play as Betty Ross in TIH.
I will understand if anyone here further implicates of my insanity or poor taste for choosing an actress.LoLt:

I dunno. Hathaway's cute and all but I dunno if she's Betty Ross material. It takes more than a cute face to make the Hulk's love interest.

yeah i know MB, it would be hard to swallow how Bruce and Betty bacame college classmates when Bruce is in his 30s now and Betty is still somewhere in her early 20s. It's either she's smarter than Banner that made her skip highschool and landed straight to college which is not a comic book cannon or Bruce flanked in highschool several times until he and Betty became classmates which is worse.lol............................

well i thought an actor's job is to portray any character and age shouldn't be a consideration. i've seen magneto and charles xavier portryed their younger selves in X3 and some young actors like russel crow portrayed an older version of himself in a beautiful mind and vinnie jones portryed a much stougter version of himself as the juggernaut in X3 many thought he pulled it off.
I always thought that actors should be versatile otherwise they shouldn't be called actors at all.

she's more appealing around the world than the hulk right now and i'm not bad mouthing about my fav superhero, but here in my country alone youngsters know more about her than hulk i bet it is the same in other countries as well except the US. It would be such a shame if we didn't get those potential movie fanatics on our side coz they'll help a lot to make TIH in box office which is basically what we want if we want to see another sequel. I dont disregard the story and fx of this film in fact i think hulk's action sequences has the thing to pull this off in the box office, however there are at least 5 CB movies that are slated for that same year as well(i'm so worried about Batman 3/TDK) so getting a pretty face would be a good strategy.IMO
After all Oceans 12 beat Blade 3, but B3 sucked big time yeah.
The difference is that there were a lot of familiar faces in Oceans 12 than in B3, hathaway has worked w/Ang Lee in brouke back mountain and did a b*tchy role in Havok as well, but they were well portrayed though so maybe she'll work out as betty ross.

Great choice, Golgo. I'm absolutely sold by it. IMO, Tunney could be a great Betty. She's also a great actress.

If Sam Eliot comes back as Gen. Ross, Hathaway's slim and slender look resembles much of Eliot so maybe she's more like the general's daughter feel for me IMO, I also like that girl from JAG.

Eh, resemblance isn't all that important to me. And to be honest, I wouldn't want a Sam Elliot-looking actress in the role,

no that's not exactly what i had in mind, i mean her resemblance w/Eliot makes her believable for his daughter.
I know she's not yet in the ranks of Jeniffer Conelly that's coz i think maybe she got stucked in that princess movie thing and seems like everybody sees her that way.
She's actually did a supporting role in brouke back mountain directed by Ang Lee and a not so likeable role in Havok, but i think she did a good job though, it's just that most people/fans dont want her to outgrow her princess type role which is bad for her career.
In my opinion i thought that maybe she should be given a chance to play a more challenging roles than her usual ones despite that you know i'm horny when i picked her to play betty.lol
maybe she'll work out, well maybe not domestically, overseas i'm sure she'll sweep the crowd and give TIH more attention than it should get, you know i think many eyebrows will be raised.

I do think you're right about her "princess" persona. That's probably a big reason why I don't like her for the role. I haven't seen either of the other movies you mentioned, so I can't agree/disagree with you there. But as things stand, I still think someone with a more mature look should be cast.

However i still pick Hathaway though, coz i like her, but w/all do respect go a head and post your individual choice and let your voice be heard.
