casting mistakes?

Even then, the script only goes so far. I never envision actors as their comic book counterparts whenever I pick up one of the books. As good as Christian Bale, Christopher Reeve, and Patrick Stewart (among others) are, they’ll never fully become the personal interpretations of Batman, Superman, and Professor Xavier that I’ve grown accustomed to reading over the years.

It's the same way with me, though I've always pictured Stewart as Xavier, when reading the comics. For Storm, I picture Iman

and anna isnt comic rogue as you seem to think

ultimate rogue took a lot from anna in the movie. she can be 616 rogue but the writer needs to develop her- what they left from x3

your right, she was on her way to comic Rogue. It may have taken a X3 and X4 for her to get there but (and thats what Singer wanted to do, X3 and X4 back to back with the budget Fox gave Ratner's X3, but Fox wouldn't give Singer that).

I agree about X3 rogue... boring character depiction in script, what was any actress suppossed to do? Let's be realistic.

Anyway, before judging about how long Wolverine's hair were, or Rogue's lips, or Iceman's humor or the way Magneto's finger twists, let's consider this:
Would you prefer cast that has total resemblance with comic characters in terms of appearance or cast that has the acting ability to portray the characters (yet i do not think that there were really harsh resemblance mistakes in the movie as a whole)?

Besides i totally agree with those who say that X-movies are an alternate universe, because this is what they are. Thay are not one-character movies (like FF, Batman, Spiderman etc) so the way the X-Men are on screen should be totally different.

I would keep Anna as Rogue but give her bouncey curley hair, a sexier and more confidant attitude.

Halle Berry i would change because Storm always came off as a mother figure type and halle just didnt fit that bill.

James Marsden was good as cyclops i would just have him written to be a bit more likable because it was kind of like the writers tried too hard to make him a dick just so Wolverine was more likable.

She’s alil younger then Anna but, looks a bit more mature (or at least just as), also taller

I would have replaced Jubilee...She looked way too old and out of place....everyone is perfect IMO....Famke and Hugh Jackman look old in X3 IMO

I would still replace Hugh and Halle.

Halle didn't give off a strong perfomance for a strong Storm.

Hugh is was barely Logan although i'm sure writing is still a factor, Hugh just wasn't rough and tough enough. He was too good looking for the role as well.

And I still say his fighting scenes where awkward.

I don't care about the age of the actors, as they can be made to look different in the finished product. That said, I do think a lot of the characters looked rather haggard in The Last Stand... but I don't think Famke Janssen was too old to play Jean Grey. She was only 33 when she was first cast... and I'm not buying the gravitas of a character like Dark Phoenix coming from some 20 year old moronic, Hollywood bimbo...
