Joker is one of the characters of DC Comics. He appeared at the first Batman comic in 1938 and became one of the most recognizable enemies of Batman. He is a crazy genus and he does not feel any pain, however he likes to inflict harm. Many times Joker appeared in DC films, always playing the main enemy of Batman.
In the 2008 film “The Dark Knight” Joker was played by Heath Leger, a 28-year-old Australian, who died the same year, due to drugs. The performance of this actor was fabulous and he has received an Oscar for it, which was a huge award for Leger. His Joker was a genius full of madness, an outstanding person with a thirst for unreasonable chaos. The actor could have appeared in “The Dark Knight Rises”, but he died at an early age.
Five years later, DC started with Cinema Universe, which involved Batman; consequently, they also needed Joker. For this character the studio choose Jareld Leto. He is a very popular actor, who had made several interesting films – he is someone who has a bright future. People think that Jareld will be a good Joker, because he is completely insane in real life. By this time, we have seen several trailers and pictures of Leto’s Joker and he looks very different from the Legers’ interpretation. However, is this good enough?
The new Joker has many tattoos, a pale skin, he is barely without makeup and has a short, green haircut. While Leger looks like a cold murderer with an unknown past, Leto is an insane, crazy prisoner, who wants to hurt everyone severely. Who of them is the best Joker? Well, Leger’s acting was outstanding and DC have decided not to copy him. With Leto they have created a totally different Joker. The new one has madness in the eyes, and this is an outstanding performance, but Leger’s Joker is the most original one, and I like the interpretation of him more.
Both are completely different characters. Leto’s Joker fits better in Cinema Universe and Nolan’s interpretation of Joker was a strong character, which can reappear, leaving a memory that lasts for decades.

Oh hell yeah, Gwendoline Christie as Big Barda would be EPIC. Make it happen! Don't really care if we ever see Mr. Miracle though.

The casting of J.K. Simmons as Gordon is one of their better choices.

I think they've nailed every piece of casting so far in the DCEU, of course I'm talking about the ones I've seen so far. The rest look promising.

Mos casting was ok. Performances not so good. Jesse Eisenberg look like bad casting. I wanted J.k. simmons back for Jonah Jameson but he make a great Commissioner Gordon I think. He play two famous support comic characters now.

So the MOS casting then? ;)

Well yeah but I feel like Ive seen enough of the BvS and even SS cast in trailers to know they've made good choices. I know you can't always judge until you see full performances but early impressions of those films are good aswell.

I personally feel Eisenberg is gonna steal the show in BvS aswel.

Jesse Eisenberg is great casting...

Let's wait and see Jesse's performance before we denounce or exalt him. I think a lot of people think it's bad casting just because they feel Lex needs to be older, and I do understand that argument. However, we do live in an age right now where some of the richest people in the world have made their fortunes on newer technologies and are very young, the most obvious being Zuckerberg, which of course Jesse has also played. I know people think that means we're just going to get Zuckerberg-as-Lex, but at least from what I've seen of his performance so far, he's not acting at all like he did in The Social Network. In TSN, he was introverted, socially awkward and insecure, albeit arrogant and vindictive. Here, he seems to be very much the showman in public; outgoing and over-the-top, while scheming and creepy in private.

If we're talking based purely on the trailers he probably will, but for the wrong reasons. I know some people have a theory that the cheesy persona he has in them is just a facade for his dark side, but I wouldn't be surprised if what we see is what we get.

It's like asking for Tobey Maguire to be less boyish than he is... Can't happen.

I'll be surprised if Jesse actually pulls off something "intimidating". More so because I've never seen it from Lex in the previous films :o

Refer to him by any name other than Tugboat Tobey and you will see how boyish he can be.
