I feel like such a castaway right now. I like Quiksilver's look. It's not a good costume at all, mainly because it isn't a costume. It's just his normal clothing. He's got a 70s glam rock thing going. It stays true to the era and looks like what would be worn by someone with his level arrogance.

Agreed, he looks like a total dork, but in a good, endearing way. Clearly he's filling the void of Banshee. And, dare I say it, he looks a little gay? I mean that in a good way, diversity is a good thing, and the mutants coming in all shapes and sizes makes it more realistic.

Maybe, or maybe he's meant to be unlikable, which is rewarding in its own way.
I'm going to wait to pass judgment. There are plenty of characters that have had awesome costumes and turned out to be duds, and vice versa. It's hard to tell from a promo pic or a still how he'll turn out.

Also, I find it ironic that the part of Quicksilver that people like the least is his hair, and that is the part of the look that's closest to a comic version. The color and length are close to a version I've seen (ultimate avengers?). And clearly, he's probably going to change clothes at some point, so the outfit might be one of several.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's not effective nor that the version of him with the black short hair and the tshirt would be effective. It's just a photo. We still haven't seen him in action and how he will fit in with the rest. Be patient.

This design certainly speaks more to Quicksilver's arrogance and general *****baggery more than a "black t-shirt" ever would.

I don't hate the look, but it looks too 80s to me and not 70s Glam rock at all.

Evan looks cute but it's not really a great look. I'm not sure about the posture either.

I don't know if it was mentioned before, but I found this on IMDB:

Peters described Quicksilver as someone who "talks quick, moves quick. Everything else is very slow compared to him, it's like he's always at the ATM waiting for the dude in front of him to finish."

I guess the description fits the appearance.

I think the fanboy reaction to Quicksilvers look is absolutely ridiculous. His goofy/dorky look is deliberately 70's by the looks of it, others have said glam rock - it makes sense given the setting! The X-Men movies have all gone for a more grounded in reality look. I trust Singer knows what he's doing and look forward to seeing how they develop him as a character...and Wolverine's reaction to his look.

Nothing to do with it straying from the comic version, it just looks silly. But I'm only speaking for myself. We were never going to get blue spandex Pietro but this is hilariously bad.

Its not because its not comic-accurate. its because he looks silly as hell. I know its the 70's and all but no one looks that damn goofy. The permed hair, the goggles, the ridiculous jacket, that utility belt..its just a little much. They could have put him in jeans and a t-shirt with his hair styled like the comics and people would be fine with that.

I like it, but I'm not exactly going to judge those that don't like it. As much as I like how Quicksilver looks, that cover is pretty bad.
