if she is Death then she suffered the biggest nerf in MCU history.
that would take away the uniqueness of IW.As I've explained before, I'm not saying that she is Death, just that they'll change it up in the MCU and have Thanos be in love with Hela, the Goddess of Death rather than Death herself. It would hardly be the first time that the MCU has changed things up from the comics to streamline events and characters.
that would take away the uniqueness of IW.
yeah, true but they cannot completely change everything.Nah, not really. Only for the real comic book purists who are an extremely tiny minority of the film's audience, no one else. IW will not be and was never going to be a completely accurate adaptation of Infinity Gauntlet. Name me one MCU movie that is a perfect, page for page adaptation of it's comic source material? I'll wait. They will have taken the basic bones of the IG storyline and created their own story around it that fits better into this universe, like the MCU always has done since it's inception.
yeah, true but they cannot completely change everything.
plus, Thanos doesn't need IG to impress Hela.
it made sense in the comics.
they will have pull something MAJOR to pull this off.
One of the sexiest shots in the hole movie.

yeah, for the most part, unfortunately.Actually, they can. And they have done that a lot.

personally, I prefer the comics.I'll have to respectfully disagree with you there. The MCU has proven repeatedly that their way of loosely adapting elements from comics to the screen works. A serialised comic book is an incredibly different medium to a feature film that has severe time restrictions. Marvel Studios aren't going to change their way of adapting comic storylines now considering that it's worked perfectly for the past 10 years.
personally, I prefer the comics.
the story and characters are way better.
MCU is good.
awesomeness of Thor and Odin in the comics.
I still remember Odin vs Galactus!!!

Yes, she is unbelivable gorgeous! I've never been so attracted to a female villain before.
It's startling how she can make so different characters as Galadriel and Hela both so great.
never said that MCU is completely bad because of comics.I love both for different reasons, liking one doesn't negate the other. The MCU diverting from the comics storylines doesn't lessen the original comics or stop them from existing, so I've never fully understood the position of the real comic book purists, despite being a comic fan myself.
yep, this.gotta agree with you there, as much as I love the MCU is pales in comparison to the comics especially concerning Thor characters.
Comic book Odin as a BEEEEEEEEEEEEAST, MCU Odin is an embarassment and is one of the most nerfed film CBM characters of all time.

showcasing Odin vs Surtur in he flashback for 3 minutes would make me happy but you're right, back to Hela.I never said that you said that.I'm just reiterating what I've already pointed out, that an ongoing comic book and a movie made for the mass audience are two incredibly different mediums. A movie has severe time constraints, it can never spend as much of that precious time developing and showcasing supporting characters like Odin as a comic book storyline can, it doesn't have that luxury. Trying to cram too much into a two hour movie would make that movie incredibly messy and confusing for the general audience. So in my mind, it is simply unrealistic to expect that all the characters in the MCU are going to get the same amount of focus and badass moments as their counterparts do in the comics.
Anyway, this has become off topic, so if you want to continue discussing it you should probably take it to the general thread.Back to Hela...
