RANDOM THOUGHTS FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 2011

1) This weekend, there's two movies being released that revolve around aliens. One is Battle: Los Angeles which is your typical alien invasion tale. And the other is Mars Needs Mom which is about a boy on a mission to rescue his abducted mother from Martians. It's safe to say that it isn't a good week for aliens. Once again, they're being portrayed as villains. Do you really think aliens are evil? In real life, if aliens did visit us, wouldn't it be nice if they were goofy ones like E.T. or those coffee drinking worms from Men in Black?

2) Speaking of aliens, what's up with that new Katy Perry single featuring Kanye West?

3) No one has answered my question about chicken and waffles. I'm very disappointed about that.

4) I think my dog is anti-social. Is there such a thing in the animal kingdom? Every morning as I take my dog to pee, others dogs pass by and sniff his butt, and he never sniffs back. That's considered disrespectful, right?

5) I keep hearing good things about that Windows phone. You can open a word document. Stream video from Netflix. So, has Windows finally done something better than Apple?

But doesn't that movie fall on the stereotype of aliens being short, big headed creatures. And then to have someone like Seth Rogen be the voice. It almost feel like a mockery of aliens, even though Paul does look like he'd be an awesome buddy to have.
