Daredevil Charlie Cox is Matt Murdock/Daredevil

I'm fine with this casting choice, but I just can't help but think that if this guy had been announced as a DC character, there would be a ton of fanboy backlash over it..

I usually don't have an issue with DC casting. I can't think of a casting choice I wasn't excited about until BvS, with the exception of Blake Lively as Carol Ferris. I liked the casting for the Nolan Batman films, Green Lantern, and Man of Steel. I'm just not fully onboard with the casting of Batman, Wonder Woman, or Lex in BvS. I'm not hating it, but I wish I was more excited. The suit pic at least told me Ben will LOOK amazing as Batman, so that's great.

Decent actor so i'm satisfied. The man was good in Boardwalk.

He is a good actor, but in my opinion he has not the physique du role.

What physique would he need exactly?
For sure not small, skinny and nerdy...and there is something in his nose and forehead that disturb me.
But Daniel Craig gave me a similar impression long before becoming James Bond, so we'll see..

Huh? What? Is "not physique du role and he has something in his nose and forehead" the new "Chris Evans arm too skinny/blue color tone trying to copy Avatar"?

My echostation sense is tingling. (Side-note, in Comic Book Guy voice: Worst. Superpower. Ever.)

Oh, he's too thin for the role? Such a shame that there's no such thing as a gym anywhere in the world. :o

Daredevil is skinny. While, yes, he's strong, he generally wins through athleticism and martial arts rather than pure brute force.

The only problem with him aesthetically as a hero is that he has a very obviously receeding hairline as can be seen since the Hype choose his worst picture when the announcement was made.
Anyways with Hollywood Magic they can make it red and full plus he'll be wearing a cowl when crimefighting.

Yes...of course.
It's a 2015 release, I'd like to know the gym able to make him gain 20 pounds of muscles in less than one year.

Agree, that's what I meant. I doubt that they'll try to fix his hairline though.. more likely they'll cover it with a tuft of hair or even worse a fringe...
What I am talking about here is his resamblance with Matt Murdock from the comics, and I don't see it. Sorry.

Define "resemblance from the comics". Matt (and every other cb character ever) has been drawn differently by dozens if not hundreds of artists over the years.

True, but almost always we have a strong jawline and a muscular and athletic figure, I would say above 6'2" tall.
I don't want to be polemical, but when I see pictures of cox I see a small face with a big forehead and a large nose... way below 6" and far from being athletic.

Maybe with an elaborate haircut, some padding and heels...

I've found Charlie Cox seems to look better in motion than in pictures. I don't know if it's timing or what, but I feel like pics of him don't do him justice.

Lol at those critiquing his facial features. It's a good thing that he doesn't look like some generic hunk, a la the comic illustrations. The DCCU can have the models.and pretty boys. I'll take great actors with distinctive looks and screen presence over chiseled jaws and muscle bound and or supermodel lanky physiques any day and twice on Sunday.

Acting talent a personal trainer and (if necessary) modern science. That's it.

You must be that guy at the beach that gets sand kicked in his face.
I've know guys that put 40lbs of lean mass in less than 4 months without anything more than a lot of good food and a lot of hard work.

An Cox is a professional actor who has nothing else to do with his time but prep for the role and has the money for a nutriotionist and personal trainer. Just because you can't change yourself in a year doesn't mean others can't.

Definitely.

Anyone who has seen Boardwalk Empire knows that Charlie's already in good shape. Plus...aren't they actually filming this month?

Wow you sound like a bit of a prick son. I strongly recommend you spend less time at the gym and read a good book every now and then instead
