Not really. We know he's out there and that escalation in response to Batman in inevitable, but those are teases, they aren't dangling story points within Batman Begins' narrative. Just like with TDK there didn't need to a sequel to Begins for its story to be complete, it was wrapped up.

Sorry, I wanted to add that heavy FOG should be added as a weather element in the next film.

I would absolutely LOVE to see a MUD PIT fight scene in the next Bat film ala the graphic TDKR novel.

Psychological with some mystery, creepiness type of surprises that make us jump out of our seats and intense bone breaking fight and action scenes or sequences with a bit of blood being shown.

If the Riddler is involved, it would be cool if they did a Zodiac/Die Hard 3 type of thing where you don't see him for a long time...possibly even until the very end of the movie. Granted, if it is a great actor then you might actually want to see him quite a bit (Guy Pearce for instance).

What does that mean? Ledger, did not have an oscar prior to his choosing, nor Bale.

And Pearce has never won an oscar. I had no idea that "oscar winners" were required to be in Nolan's films.

Off note: Is anyone else noticing the Hype getting slower and slower and slower? Or is just me. I have 20 mbss cable....so I don't believe its my connection but...

Yeah, I've thought about the Riddler and I wouldn't mind seeing him like the Calculator in Identity Crisis where he's kind of like an evil Oracle.

Yeah, having an Oscar under your belt isn't required. I like the fact that the day Ledger was cast alot of people weren't high on the choice, but that in the end he earned his Oscar by going out of his way with the portrayal of the character.

I'm all for Pearce as Riddler aswell.

And it's not just you with the Hype, there's some serious lag going on and it's like a day to day thing. Seriously, it takes awhile to click a thread sometimes or to get a post through. Or if the post goes through after a few minutes, it makes you double post.

The Academy is full of crap. Look at Avatar.....the story and narrative have been done before (Dances With Wolves anyone) and the Avatar was waaaaay to long and the sci fi aspects are a bit outrageous.

But then chances of it winning the Best Picture nod is high and I wonder why? Maybe because the entire film industry and Academy voters were heavliy investedd in Camerons creation and because the Academy loves Cameron from Titanic?

No matter how good a comic genre film is.....the Academy will ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS look to snub it from Oscar contention.

However, since the Academy has done a slap in the face move by adding 10 Best Pic nominees to increase ratings, the next Batman film will most likely be one of the 10 token nominations in 3 years.

The Academy and it's voters are hypocrites and are a freakin joke....end of story.

Well back when the academy first introduced the Best Picture award, anywhere between 8 - 12 films were recognised.

It just gives more films recognition and a shot at winning.

Wall-E and TDK come to mind that missed out on such an opportunity because of the limited choices in previous years.

Go to the Story thread on these boards and read my outline for the 3rd film. This is exactly what i did in my story. Black mask is used by the riddler to terrorize Batman and Gordon.
