I always figured you could picture Jackman as Mad Hatter in that film anyways... with Bowie being the Hugo Strange type character. Just change the names and you already have a Nolan trilogy as it is.

Sam Worthington tipped to replace Christian Bale as Batman

SAM Worthington, the Aussie actor about to shoot into the stratosphere with his performance in Terminator Salvation, is being tipped as the next Batman.
Sam Worthington's fame is set to explode in the US with the May release of Terminator Salvation, and again in December when James Cameron's Avatar is released in cinemas.

Cameron, also the creator of Terminator, says he is the breakout star of both films.

Industry gossip now suggests the rising Australian star could score the part of Batman in the third instalment of the successful prequel franchise.

That could mean replacing Bale, his Terminator co-star and The Dark Knight lead, whose profile was damaged after his infamous "me, me, me" meltdown on the Terminator set, which recently hit the internet.

I see what you're getting at... But if it was the case to throw people off track, then why even bother with that story? Why not just keep their mouths shut for now. And it's definitely not the case this time around, for one simple reason. This Inception movie is slated for a summer 2010 release. Nolan would never agree to do a third bat flick to be released already next year! It would be a mess, and everything fall apart. These movies take time to develope and deliever... Especially if their goal is to make a third picture as good as TDK. No, a 2011-2012 release sounds about right.

With Christopher in place, I think it's certainly safe to say that the faithful essentials (Jonah, Goyer, Bale, Oldman, Caine, Freeman) will easily follow.

The only (ONLY) thing to be concerned with a speculate about now is both the story and character progression for Batman that Nolan is going with.

Depending on how THOSE are nailed down, I'll reserve judgment on whether or not this has the potential to finally break the "Threequel Curse."

Making a third film to top the second is going to be difficult. There have raised the bar really high with TDK although I was quite satisfied with Watchmen recently.

looking forward to Inception as well..always thought Nolan would come back for BB3, the Bat-film franchise is his baby now, he needed to come back and continue (and/or end) his vision..
