Agreed. I think back during the TDK days Emma even said he was interested in tackling a western. Although, with his brother doing Westworld for the foreseeable future he may not want to step on his toes there.
I remain 100% convinced that Chris has some uncredited input into Westworld. There are certain things about that show that seem far more Chris than Jonah to me. I just kinda dig the idea of two brothers spitballing ideas about it on the sly

I used to think that him doing Bond was just a pipedream, but after listening to him on Josh Horowitz's podcast, it sounds like he's absolutely serious about it- knows his take on the material and everything but is just waiting for the right time.
I think you could be onto something with action though. I would love to see Nolan's version of a Die Hard or Speed type of high-concept, but reality-based action film with a suspense scenario.
Being a Nolan nerd from back when he was first announced as doing Batman, I've known for a long time that he's a huge fan of James Bond - as is right and proper for any British filmmaker
t: It will happen at some point, of that I have no doubt. I am fascinated to see his take on Bond's psychology. The fragility of Bond's identity is perfect fodder for a Nolan analysis. I think he would produce the most cerebral and intelligent Bond film ever made. Also, Hans Zimmer scoring a Bond movie?
A romantic comedy written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Let's go.
Not so sure we'll ever get that, but I can easily see him tackling a film with a heavy romantic emphasis. I'm thinking something like a 21st century Romancing The Stone. Nolan taking on a swashbuckling adventure type movie sounds marvellous.
...oh god, now I want a Chris Nolan Indiana Jones reboot.
