Civil War: How the hell is Iron man the bad guy???

I just don't respect the opinion of idiots (ie you). I have no tolerance for you people. Why pretend your opinion is valid? It only encourages you.

You're never going to win any debates if you make personal insults like this.

I win debates all the time using insults like that. You're right, though, he won't.

Yeah, but your insults are usually funny, so your oponent is too busy laughing to think of his rebuttle.

I thought we were pointing out how absurd Horrorfan was.

Speaking of Ghost Whisperer. That Hanes commercial is like 30 seconds of heaven.

Speaking of Ghost Whisperer. That Hanes commercial is like 30 seconds of heaven.

Before the beginning, after the great war between heaven and hell, God created the Earth and gave dominion over it to the crafty ape he called man... and to each generation was born a creature of light and a creature of darkness... and great armies clashed by night in the ancient war between good and evil. There was magic then. Nobility. And unimaginable cruelty. And so it was until the day that a false sun exploded over trinity, and man forever traded away wonder for reason.

I remember that. I believe it was a Wednesday.

Well, I do like Carnival's, but mostly for the easy poon tang you can score from the chicks in the freak show. :o

You said that before
It bears repeating.

Still, this is my last post on this subject because, frankly, it's a boring subject.

You sit there, and in one breath you btch and moan about how terrible and harsh and unforgiving the world is to the point where you'd rather everyone lives in a totalitarian society and that no one has free will than for it to continue like this...and in another breath you boast about killing people because they don't deserve to live and how happy you are when someone dies. You resent the world for being violent and cruel, and then wax poetic about bloody vengeance and merciless retribution and getting a hard-on for someone who impaled children and declare that you don't care what happens to people until it happens to yourself.

It never once occurs to you that this attitude is the exact sort of attitude that contributes at least a little to the world sucking as much as you think it does? Listen to yourself. You're literally mocking people because they don't like hurting others. How is that in any way possibly helpful?

The punchline is that I believe in capital punishment. I'm sure a lot of people here do, too. No one's saying there's not a time when you just have to do what's necessary and no one's blaming you for wanting to kill rapists and murderers. But it's this trigger-happy bloodlust fascist Angry White Boy crap that everyone's treating as overkill (LULZ!) and guess what? You know exactly why everyone's treating it that way. You know that it is overkill. You know that it is dark and extreme and sickening and gets everyone's attention and that's exactly why you're saying it.

You all rashly thought that when I asked, "Do you not even understand why anyone would not want to kill someone else?", it meant that I was claiming no one should ever kill anyone else. No. What I was asking was exactly that: Do you not even understand why anyone would not want to kill someone else? No one's going to blame you for killing evil people. But the minute that you don't understand why killing someone else is so sick and upsetting and ghastly is the minute you become just as dangerous and twisted as those people you're claiming we should kill. The minute that you have no reservations, that you no longer understand why you shouldn't do it, is the minute you're no different from a cold-blooded criminal yourself.

This is not some abstract, weird philosophy people dream up to detach themself from reality; this is called common sense!

Oh Christ, why's everyone always gotta be Crasian-hatin'? Y'know, the only reason the Chinese are so fcked up is because of your damn opium. Not that you gave it to us, but that you stopped.

:(

Why did you ever stop?

Ok you have a point- I was being deliberately over the top yesterday for attention. But that said, you know, I don't dislike anyone for points of view that differ to mine- I think you are a cool guy personally, even though I feel we differ on big issues, and I even kinda like darth (he is quite a funny guy).

I do understand WHY we shouldn't kill- believe me, if I had the power, I would stop anyone from killing or hurting others, but I can't. I can't honestly say when a rapist or someone dies I get pleasure from it- it's not that at all- but when they do die, I honestly can't say I feel sorry for them either.

Now that, my freind, is one very well written arguement. And as a whole I agree. I'm personally not in favor of capital punishment. Merely because the thought of individual people deciding who lives and who dies like that makes me uneasy. But still, very well put.
