Civil War Civil War Rotten Tomatoes Thread - Part 2

Agreed. IW 1/2 will not only have more characters but be responsible for wrapping up a decade of MCU storytelling (finale movies often stumble). 80% and above is perfectly fine for me for those movies.
Yep. For a start, we can expect every reviewer who refers to CW as overstuffed to have a breakdown when they see the cast list for IW. :woot:

Anyone saw D23 printed on the deck where Bucky was kept after UN tragedy...??? It's jus small Easter egg about Disney's D23...!!!

Now we are really in crisis territory!! :wow::woot:

The sad middle-aged dudes who cling so desperately to these films require constant reassurances that they're not just fun stories for children in which men wear tights.

Listening to the applause of cheers for deaths and devastation was a bit scary and more and more what we are seeing in real life. No wonder why!

Lucky there was such a good start to be able to absorb this late run.

I think it's past the point of controversy now, it's obvious that RT is quick to add rottens for Civil War.

WB owns Rotten Tomatoes, so..

I'll let myself out :P.

Oh man I would be really dissappointed if this goes below 90%

What the hell is that last reviewer going on about? There weren't any deaths that caused audience applause in the movie. She missed the entire point, seemingly. Even had there been such occurrences in her showing, why would that frighten her? Can't she distinguish between the fictional and the real?

Some of these negative reviews are just laughable.

I get there are probably some agenda driven positive reviews but there are 232 positive reviews on RT. No way half of them are agenda driven like I think at least half of the negative reviews are. I count at least half that have some sort of agenda behind them or just really shouldn't be counted, such as the reviewer that said it was a full length Spider-Man trailer and then this last one about people cheering about death and destruction and that CBM are the reason why people cheer real life death and destruction.

What the ffff with these negatives? Three in a row? Go away!

I don't mind the number of negatives, just the reasoning of some. Seems weirder than normal!

I just find it funny when so many of the negatives come in at the last minute

are they trying to maximize readers by coming in near the wide release, or are they trying to slip in when they'll get drowned out so they don't get trolled on social media??

You can pretty much knock off 5% when the American critics get a hold of a CBM. I wonder if that's the reason most CBMs open in Europe first.

Last time I checked this had 15 negative reviews.

How come it jumped up to 24 so fast?

Marvel opens movies overseas in order to take advantage of holidays and/or generate buzz. There don't seem to be any other motives. The studio screens to all critics at the same time (s), so there isn't a favoritism issue.

I suspect that a lot of these "dog with a blog" reviewers have to buy their own tickets because they aren't affiliated with reputable outlets, however. Rotten Tomatoes ought to purge many of them or demoted them to a sort of lower-tier where they aren't included in the aggregate score, IMO.

Looks like it went down a bit, but its still in the 90's, so that's good to see.

I can't wait to see this Mon or Tues.

Like I've said before here, I'm not angry at having negative reviews. They are envitable. But when the reviews come out like this s**t, right here...we do have the right to rage. How are they reviews? Honestly, it's ****ing dumb to allow those sort of things to be published. On ANY movie.
