The Kraken actually kind of reminds me of a giant sea turtle, except it's viscious with lots of teeth as well as tenticles instead of flippers. I mean, look at it's neck, it seems to be sort of a shell around it.

I actually liked the previous trailer as well, but didn't love it. However, this one just sold a ticket for sure with me.

And I never got into the POTC thing. I just couldn't stand those movies.

as far asive read, this is the urban myth kraken, while the greek kraken was a creature like this oen int he movie, theres a paintig that shows a quadripedalkraken

That second trailer got my ticket. I love Greek mythology, love reading Homer, Ovid & Virgil (okay, those two are Roman, whatev)! Ancient Greece and its heroes is fascinating, Perseus, Heracles, Achilles, Odysseus, Diomedes, love it all.

I like the look of the Kraken except for the face. I wish it had a brow, so it could be more expressive.

You're not. When I first saw it in the trailer and couldn't think of the creature that it reminded me of, it was the monster from Deep Rising.

It's the mouth and teeth of the Kraken that reminded me of the creature from Deep Rising.

Wishful thinking. Not if they want this to get a PG-13 rating. It's funny how movies back in the day got rated as PG. There were several shots of TnA in Clash '81 and if you ever see the movie 'Beastmaster' from back in the 80's Tanya Roberts boobs are on full display.

I'm a BIG fan of the old 'Clash', especially of the Karken, but the new trailer just sold me. The Kraken's neck/head area reminds me of Letteriers design for Abomination in TIH.
