The name "Kraken" may come from Norse mythology but I'm sure Greeks believed in sea monsters.

That's what I figured. I also remember watching PotC2 and thinking "Isn't the giant monstrous cephalopod of the Caribbean called the Lusca?"

Maybe it was his full blown Aussie tounge slipping in here and there, but something tells me its more than that. But yeah you expect shoddy scenes in an LL film, or call them "creaky" if you wish. We saw some shoddy stuff in TIH and people just wanted to blame Zack Penn. I really hope LL can provide some depth for a change but it don't look like we will get it here based on that trailer. A lot of repeated footage from the teaser concerns me as well. 1:45 minute brain bash? Wouldn't suprise me.

Christ, is it possible for anyone on Earth to talk about Worthington without reminding us how much they thought Christian Bale sucked and "just yelled the whole time" in Terminator Salvation?

Until I see Worthington deliver HALF the performance that Bale did in American Psycho, Batman Begins, TDK, The Machinist, Harsh Times, Rescue Dawn, Velvet Goldmine, Laurel Canyon, Equilibrium, 3:10 to Yuma, The Prestige or Empire of the Sun, he isn't worthly to lick Bale's boots.

It's ridiculous how suddenly an actor "sucks" just because he does something that people don't like (the rant). Look at what happened to Tom Cruise.

I saw Sam Worthington's Australian stuff and he's pretty much always the same. His acting style hasn't changed much over the years. He doesn't have the chameleon-like quality that Bale has. He's not a character actor at all. I can't imagine him doing something like American Psycho or The Machinist. I just don't think he has the acting chops. He's perfectly fine in stuff like TS or Avatar. But let's be honest, those roles were hardly acting showcases. He's got two non-action movies coming out next year, but they're ensemble pieces which don't really feature him. I think he's fine being the action guy. Maybe he wants to be the next Bruce Willis. He's around Bruce Willis level, acting wise.
