so amazing, this man has been hired to play a warrior despite having no good legs and having added his own work out muscle which wasn't enough and then added CGI muscle to help develop realistic look for his jump, running and walking scenes in Clash film, Clash of the Walkings it should be called ha ahaha ha as it has him doing lots of added CGI muscles leg walking unlike true Avatar state

Now his acting is no good, Overall he is bad quality actor and not box office opener

If you see trend, Mel Gibson, Crowe, Jakeman, all great australian actors and can open a film with good box office generally, then we go and level down to Eric Bana, meant to be next big thing but no, Japanese Hulk film comes out and ruins the whole Shrek look of film, Bana then is reduced to playing cards with Drew Barrymore with no career in sight or opening, good actor, no box office opening

Now Clash of sethus with Sam Worthington who is not WORTH the prices of his own leg muscles as he can't walk in real life/lifeforce I should add and his own last name... They try to con people, make believe are the movies but this is too far and too much, first make CGI blue actor of him to confuse viewers about Blue characters in Tron CGI film next year, now this bad acting job in multiple films, can't do any variation of accent just like in Clash of titans and he cannot open a film at all

Australian actors becoming big box office stars and having good acting potential is now going down drain...

I think Sam should do a Connery and just use his accent and not worry about trying to sound american. He should just do what is comfortable for if its not working trying to be american then do what feels natural.

i say whats the problem with his accent, can we have some diversity or what?

the trailer blew me away, though my tolerance of worthington is wearing thin.

his hair is largely the exact same in all his films and is totally unfitting of the film; either he was too lazy to grow his hair out or the production team didn't think it was necessary, but it's ridiculous. as for his abilities as an actor; the less said, the better.

regardless, this is my first must see movie of 2010, and that's saying something.

Regarding his hair, I'm pretty sure he was filming Terminator Salvation and Avatar at the same time which required his hair to be short. He may not have had time to grow it out or his hair may not have grown out fast enough.

But the production could have easily bought wigs for him if they felt it was essential for the movie, but seeing as they didn't, I doubt anyone will really care about his hair being short.

yeah, i don't think anyone really cares. except someone like me.

it's just ridiculous when you actually think about it.

Sam Worthington is setting himself up for the biggest fall from grace in Hollywood history. Most people have never heard of him, despite his starring in the biggest film of all time, and I think that Avatar was a fluke in his career and he'll end up starring in more duds than hits. A part of me is hoping Clash bombs just to stop him from getting every action script that gets greenlit.

Yep, I'm not that big of a fan of Sam either. He just seems to bland. The hair thing I can look past. He just has that same vibe whenever he's playing a character.

I see echostation is being an troll again.
i understand if you make a joke here and there and post a smile. but what is the point that he writtes this posts like he is serious?

If I was in Sam's shoes, I think I would be on cloud 9. But it's about how to keep the momentum up.

I honestly agree with Batman713; thus far, he doesn't have that 'it' factor. Like what I mention before, if average film goers don't know who the heck Sam is after 'Clash of the Titans' then he might be in trouble.

It's not so much the accent but the roles he picks and the charisma he has to stay relevant in the Hollywood game.

Like someone else said a while ago, maybe he is taking revenge for the years upon years of American actors failing at doing anything other than speaking with American accents.

:D

i dont think this is true
he filmed terminator in 2008. and i am sure that he didnt film Avatar in 2009. which means that he had all the time in 2009 to grow hes hair.

The guy just looks like Man #2. There is nothing memorable abut him. Heck, I dont think I could pick him out of a line-up if I had to. He's going to take every seemingly big action film he can and the quality will get worse and worse. He doesnt have the acting chops to survive in Hollywood once he makes a few duds...though he does have the plus of being the star of Avatar sequels to keep that career going.

I seem to remember an article where he said he just wanted to have it short for Clash. A friend of his told him Greeks had long hair.
Unless I imagined it.

I find it distracting when an actor can't maintain his accent throughout a film. There were some parts of terminator where I didn't get what he was saying. His american accent was bad AND he fell out of it.

The hair takes me out of his scenes as well. He looks like he a roman dropped into grecian times. He could have worn a wig or extensions. I recall someone saying or an article about how he doesn't like how he looks w/long hair. But this a period piece. You either go with it or someone else should get the role. It's not like he's a mega star that should be able to dictate. I wonder if JC put in a word for him on clash, just like Terminator and so sam is getting the power to dictate.

But this is at the top of my list. I can't wait for this film. :woot:

As for him flopping, and fading out:

Possible sequels:
Avatar
Terminator
Clash (trilogy?)

With his movies making big bucks, Hollywood will continue to assign him block busters. The thing is Hollywood doesn't give a lot of actors the lead role in block buster, and yet they've given them to Sam and those movies have done well. So Sam has passed that hurtle that many actors will never see.

There are quite a bit of blockbuster potential coming out in the next few years (many of them VG), I wouldn't be surprised if he gets attached to them. Commander shep, marcus for example.

I know there's no point to saying this, but Sam Worthington's legs in Avatar were fake :cwink:

Youtube Sam Worthington and see him walking onto interviews and talk shows and premieres.

Now go play in the toilet.

i think i heard that same statement when describing Dicaprio before Titanic

Worthington has a lot of projects lined up.

He's not going anywhere at least in the immediate future.

DiCaprio was an Oscar nominated, serious actor before he did Titanic. Also, he was a huge media sensation after Titanic. There was Leo Mania everywhere. I don't see Sam Worthington Mania. It's strange. He's in the number one movie of all time, and most people have no idea who he is.

people know who he is now. but respect for making this up.
