I think the sequel sounds terrible in all honesty, no Arterton for one? WTF is that about, she was an extremely pivotal part of the first movie, now she is just dropped? Dont like the re-cast of Andromeda either and the story in general just doesnt sound that good.

Rosamund Pike is a major upgrade.

if you didnt like the first one i doubt you are going to like the 2nd so theres no point of anybody coming here if they are going to just complain, especially when only words have been confirmed so far.

as far as the original, its on tv right now, and i just cant stand it. i was ok with it when i was a kid but never really liked it all that much. it was a cool idea that the remake nailed imo. from the white curtains the gods wear to how he just gets picked up by a giant hand, i understand back then it was cool or whatever but its just so badly corny now. people that grew up on it and loved it, that wont ever change, but people who didnt, im sure they could care less about it and are the ones that probably enjoyed the film, theres just not many supporters on the hype it seems. clearly it did good enough to merit a sequel so now theres 2 new ones and the original will just be forgotten

In the original cut Arterton's character was left dead, and Perseus ended up with Andromeda, but the studio decided that was too sensical and changed it along with basically changing the whole plot in post-productionb. Seems like they are going back more to the original cut than the final cut. Which is fine by me, because as much as a like Arterton her performance in the first COTT was weak compared to her other performances she has done.

i guess people will just complain about this film any way they can. andromeda was better not being the love interest. after watching the film and then the alternate ending it just didnt make logical sense for them to kiss. him and io had a better relationship and more screen time so it made more sense. and i think the actress did a fine job for the role she was given. i dont mind them recasting now that we kno the movie is set 10 years later. andromeda is the only one that really should look older. perseus is a demigod so i can live with him looking the same.

Warner Bros. Readying 'Clash of the Titans 3' (Heat Vision Exclusive) - Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson have been enlisted to write the story for a third installment in the series based on the adventures of Perseus.
Borys Kit said:
Titans will clash for the third time, if Warner Bros. has its way.

The studio, which is in post-production with Legendary Pictures on Clash of the Titans sequel Wrath of the Titans, is developing the next installment of the tales inspired by the Greek myths, even though Wrath doesn’t open until March 30, 2012.

Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson, who co-wrote Wrath’s screenplay with Steven Knight and also share story credit with Greg Berlanti, have been enlisted to develop and write a treatment for the threequel, which would continue the adventures of Perseus, played by Sam Worthington.

Insiders say that Agenor, a sidekick-like character played by Toby Kebbell, may also figure into the new story, as the second movie leaves the door open for the character’s return.

The producing team behind Wrath, Basil Iwanyk and Polly Johnsen among it, would return for the new installment should it go forward as would Wrath Jonathan Liebesman, though no deals are in place.

Titans, directed by Louis Leterrier, grossed $163 million domestically and a whopping $330 million overseas.

Wrath again reunites not only Worthington but Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Danny Huston as Greek gods, and throws in actors Edgar Ramirez, Rosamund Pike and Bill Nighy among others.

Mazeau and Johnson are not a writing team but became one for the Titans movies. Both were well-liked by Warners: Mazeau, repped by CAA and Circle of Confusion, worked on The Flash and Jonny Quest for the studio while Johnson, repped by Paradigm, worked on 2009's The Oprhan and 2011's Red Riding Hood.

Where's the trailer? Isn't this movie coming out in a few months?

WB are trying to make money as they think that success of Immortals (and 300 in past) they can make audience accept another COTT movie.

Just make a WW movie.

I wonder how many times Perseus will say "I do it as a man!" in this movie.

Considering that Immortals JUST opened and did better than many expected, I doubt WB is trying to replicate it's success considering the Clash sequel has been in the works for months.

Surprised we havent had a trailer for this myself, doesnt sound an improvement over the first one so far so they need to give us something to get us excited.

This movie doesn't have to do that much to be an improvement over the first but Worthington is still in the lead so who knows.

^Yeah, but it doesnt LOOK like they are trying to improve on the first movie, that was my point, but who knows a trailer could change that.

How do you figure? What evidence do we have that supports your claim? We have no pictures, no set videos, no trailer, no posters, no reviews. We have NOTHING to look at about this film aside from a cast list, a short synopsis, and a few interviews with Worthington and the director saying “we’re going to do it better this time”.

With what little we have to go on, the more logical reasoning would be the exact opposite or your claim – it SOUNDS like they’re trying to do better.

The cast for one, losing Arterton and Davalos is a step down in my eyes, especially when the first one was so important to the first movie.

Also the fact we havent seen any pictures, etc when we are only 5 months from release doesnt bode well.

It is a bit strange that we're a couple months away from release and nothing has come out.

I think they are rushing the movie. We already know it's another converted 3D film as well.

Clash of The Titans is one of the worst 3D conversions I've ever seen.

i liked it i rembering watching the oldr one i rember it used to scare me when iwas little. i liked it . i reocmd the lighting theif its lot better. i think second clash of tiitna would be awsome now i read their going to flime third one if the seocnd one does good

They started filming this back in March, so somewhat of a rushed schedule. Trailer will probably be in front of Sherlock Holmes if not released earlier.

They've only just settled a legal dispute with a comic book publisher for the title 'Wrath of the Titans'. The reason for the lack of promotion is probably due to that. They can't promote a movie if they don't have a title.

^So we should be getting something soon then, at least a few pictures or something, hopefully a trailer isnt far down the road either.

^Finally something, hopefully it blows our socks off but then the trailers for the first movie did that for me.

:woot:
i remember when the first one came out, i would say that quote in pretty much any conversation i had, good times.

Theseus and Perseus team up for Clash of the Immortals:

Theseus: Hyperion and the Heraklions march against Tarteros! We must keep them from reaching the Epirus Bow and unleashing the Kraken!

Perseus: But we do it as men!

Theseus: Yes... as men.

Perseus: Because we are not gods. We are men!

Theseus: Yes, we're men. Not women or animals or anything else. Um... Come with me, let's rally the troops.

Perseus: The men!

Theseus: Yes, Perseus. The men.

(Theseus and Perseus arrive at Tarteros to warn the foolish king)

King: There will be no battle. Hyperion will send an emissary and we will discuss terms.

Theseus: You cannot negotiate with Hyperion.

Perseus: Because he is a man!

King: WTF?

Theseus: Nevermind him. Hyperion will not agree to any terms. Seal the gates and prepare for war!

King: Meh.

Theseus: Perseus, go seal the gate while I beat some sense into this idiot.

Perseus: Okay, but... I do it as a man!

Theseus: Whatever.

(Theseus and Perseus gather the army together to face off against Hyperion)

Theseus: Let us write history with Heraklion blood!

Perseus: We will do it as men!

Theseus: Fight for honor, fight for your children, fight for your future, fight for immortality!

Perseus: As men!

(Theseus stabs Perseus in the throat)

Theseus: Let this be a reminder to all of you that men can die.
