Just got back from seeing it in Australia...ooooohhh man, there are soome doozies. What did you guys pick up? I can't remember a lot but here are some I noticed.

WARNING: A few potential BIG spoilers...if you're a huge Hulk fan, do not read below the lines within the spoiler box, the surprise is worth it. Maybe don't read this thread at all...:p

- A memo to Nick Fury
- Dr. Samson written on paper somewhere
- WWII Super Soldier program
- Tony Stark (haha, a little hard to miss...)
- Stark Industries documentation in the opener
- SHIELD database, SHIELD documents, etc
- Samuel Sterns (and holy crap how good was the guy that played Sterns!? Eccentric, over-the-top, power hungry, science hungry, it was phenomenal.)
- The best Stan Lee cameo of all time
- In Guatemala when Banner's on the run sleeping on the streets, I'm sure I saw some Hulk writer's names carved into the green roller door...can't remember which, but there was definitely some there.
- Bill Bixby TV show early on
- Lou Ferrigno as a security guard
- College reporters named Jack McGee and Jim Wilso
- Serum canister had name of it's inventor (Dr. Reinstein: in continuity with Captain America's Origin) as well as being labelled Weapon Plus
- Culver University similar to the Culver Institute where Bixby worked in the TV series pilot
- Rick Jones listed as an affiliate to Banner in an opening credits shot

Plus loads more I can't remember. Anyone catch any others?

--------------------------------------

- Sterns transition to the Leader with the bubbling forehead and the accompanying ear-to-ear grin...got me excited as all hell!

Great thread. :yay:

Haven't seen it yet. Got tickets for Saturday night.

Lebeau,

keep updating your post if people spot more things since it will be easier to have it all in one post rather than having to read the whole thread.

:bh:

Off to see this in a couple of hours, I'll look out for these and I'll see what I can add too.

think you nailed most of them errrrrrrrrrrm.... on the container of the ww2 container holding the supersildier serum it briefly had the name of the guy who created it (can't rmemeber the name, but im sure it was a nod to the comics)

i got back form the newcastle 12:40 session a while back, such a kick ass movie

and it said above the name "Weapon Plus"!!!!

also Jack Mcgee as a reporter for the local college/university

alot of these are probably going to go over my head when i watch the hulk, it's not a comic i've actually read so i'm not familiar with the life story of it.

The other college kid was Jim Wilson.

The scene with the Hulk and Betty sitting on the rocks reminded me of the Dale Keown cover.

I recognised most of those. I didn't actually know who Samuel Sterns was, so I was confused when...........

Here's a couple of shots of Hulk: Gray #5 that were thrown straight into the film if anyone's interested.

^ Interesting. That's Loeb and Sale, right? I love their Batman works.

Don't know if this is relevant but 'Culver University' is in the movie; the 'Culver Institute' is where Bixby worked in the tv show pilot.

No Captain America, but Blonsky's skills like back-flipping and jumping up whole flights of stairs certainly reek of Cap and give a good taste of what he might do on the big screen.

UGH!!! usually i don't mind finding out spoilers in movies...but WHY DID I HAVE TO RUIN THAT ONE?!?!?

:D
If the opening credit sequence is what I imagine it being in my head, it's gonna be awesome when it comes out on DVD and Blu-Rayso we can pause and read the memos and such....

Also there are other bits that could benefit from slo-mo/pause, ie, when Banners emails are being traced, I'll bet there are some interesting 'back and forths' there.

THe beginning origin was a tip of the hat to the tv show origin.

looking for easter eggs and nods throws me out of a film every time, well films of this nature

I need to see this a 3rd time to just sit back and enjoy it

One not mentioned would be Stark's play on words about how the SS program was "put on ice" for a reason
