"Burn!" - Superman to Mongul in Alan Moore's For the Man Who Has Everything

God, I love that story, and its animated counterpart.

I remember that. It was a real LOL moment.

That Quicksilver quote sums up his entire personality.

And it's still a big pile of horse extrement. Quicksilvers a jerk. And now he's an evil jerk. I dont care what his justification is. Flash is hundreds of times faster than he is and he isnt a jerk.

I'm not trying to be a butt but isn't this in wrong section? This is The Comic Books > DC Comics > Comic Quotes. :O

Is it really bothering you that there's some overlap? There is no Marvel comic quotes thread and the title of this one doesnt specify DC.

Yeah you could make the assumption that it should be only DC but is there really any harm?

I never said it really bothered me I was just stating the fact that the section previous to this section that this thread is in is called DC Comics and that he quoted Marvel. So even if this thread is just called Comic Quotes instead of DC Comics Quotes it is pretty obvious when it is in the DC Comics section. lol.

And Flash can control how fast he moves alot better than Quicksilver. And Quicksilver lives in a completely different universe. It makes perfect sense as to why he's a jerk, really.

I am not trying to ask who is better but Quicksilver besides super speed can travel through time by vibrating his molecules fast right?

All the Flashes are known for super speed. But I thought only Barry Allen was the special one that could travel through time and vibrate his molecules to pass through solid objects. What can the other Flashes do besides the super speed?

I don't see why people are comparing the two anyway when they are from different universes. Also, Quicksilver used to be a villain and Flash has always been a hero...so makes sense why Quicksilver would be more of a jerk.

Someone please fill me in. :P

I believe any Flash can travel through time using the cosmic treadmill. All of the Flashes can vibrate their molecules to move through solid objects. The Flashes really aren't comparable to Quicksilver. From what I've gathered, the Flashes are on a whole other level of power compared to Quicksilver.

From what I have learned only Barry is the one able to do all the special flash stuff besides super speed though. Anyone here actually a huge Flash fan or read his comics old and newest?

That's completely not true. If anything, Wally was ten times more powerful and had much better control over what he could do witht the speed force. Barry was nothing special.

ToddIsDead, do you read the comics? I am just curious where your sources come from. I am not trying to insult your awareness of the character because afterall I am not a huge Flash fan myself.

I've read quite a few Flash comics and I have a pretty good knowledge of the characters. I'm more curious about where you learned what you learned, because besides Jay, I think Barry may have been one of the weaker Flashes.

If you just read further, it negated most of what you said. It says that Wally has traversed time and has moved through solid objects. I just said that Barry was the most experienced and seasoned, which up until recently, I would agree with.

So has Barry. They said "like Allen in Showcase #4 in 1956". And like you just said Berry was more experienced with it. Makes sense since Wally is related to Allen, oh well.

Wally West has said more than once that Barry Allen was the Flash most experienced with time travel. However, Wally has been shown to have a connection to the Speed Force, an extradimensional energy source, which provides his powers and gives him several other abilities. While all speedsters are powered by the force, West mainlines the power from the force itself and cannot be cut off from the source, unlike the others. Wally has on several occasions sped faster than light and been pulled into and exited the speed force by his own volition. He can create his costume out of pure speed energy, and can either impart his high velocities to other people and objects already in motion or steal the velocity they possess. Jay Garrick also possesses this ability to some degree; he stole speed from Black Adam in order to defeat the villainous Johnny Sorrow, and he has threatened to steal Bart Allen's (formerly Impulse, currently the new Kid Flash) speed on at least one occasion when he was misbehaving. West can vibrate through objects; in the past, West would cause whatever he vibrated through to explode, but has recently shown this to be a controlled ability as he can pass through objects without any ensuing explosion. Although not nearly as precise as Allen when he used his cosmic treadmill, West has shown to be able to traverse time and dimensions with his own powers, like Allen in Showcase #4 in 1956. However, Wally now accelerates to the point that he is skirting the very edge of the Speed Force dimension, and can traverse along the timestream to specific points as they become visible, much like watching a movie in fast forward or reverse (however he must have a particular speedster's vibratory signature to search for and lock onto, or be very familiar with the vibration of that time period).

This says some of the specific abiliies that Wally had. Much more than just superspeed.

Yea and also in that bolded part you pasted it says "like Allen" did. Lol, this all started with a comparison with Quicksilver and Flash that someone made. No point in this little comparison between Allen and West. Obviously with West being the current Flash he will get even better with his powers in the near future.

Our little comparison has become kind of pointless don't you think? :O

I wa just pointing out that the other Flashes have other powers too. You implied that only Barry did, and you asked about it, I answered. Anyway it is pointless. Besides, any one of the Flashes is way more powerful than Quiksilver.

P.S. Wally isn't the current Flash.

Bart, lets go back to the quotes now.

I thought Bart was Kid Flash though...that whole thing in IC with
him attacking Superboy Prime was him from an alternate earth much older as Flash.

Well...the whole Wally being in some unknown dimension explains it I guess. I just did not know Bart took the role as Flash instead of being Kid Flash and that he wore the suit for it now.

Yea yea I know...time to get back to the quotes lol.
