Community - Part 3

To me it seems like this show is finally finding its groove with each episode that airs.

Yeah,I'm starting to get used to the current Community. It feels like a different show, but it's starting to work well.I hope the next couple of episodes aren't stinkers.

The only one that I actually thought was weak was the Halloween episode.

Hmm I liked that one.I only hated the Inspector Spacetime episode and some parts of the premier.

yeah that was the weakest episode of the season for me, I think that was the last episode that they showed Britta and Troy as a couple.

I just realized Magnitude is Lee Jordan from the Harry Potter movies. He does a good American accent.

I thought last night's was damn good. Had me laughing multiple times. Still not like season 1-3 but it'll more than suffice

Last night was the best of the season by far to me.

I loved...

they showed them in bed together at the end of this last episode.

like this weeks episode. espelly the P.E.E.

I really enjoyed this episode, and did anyone else get really pissed when he stole POP POP from Magnitude?Because I did.:cmad:

I was kinda pissed at first, but laughed at the way the Dean handled the whole situation.

I didn't laugh once last night...

The Lets Chips commercial and that theme song during some scene was god awful. The blatant stereotype stuff from the School Board guys was idiotic.

Surprisingly, the only redeemable factor was Pierce/Jeff.

Delta Cubes would have been great as a main thing during s1-s3, but not just some rushed third tier punchline.

I enjoyed last week's episode because it felt like old Community. Now, I realize that is because they were just copying the last two mockumentary episodes. The writers really do not know what to do with Abed as the frat stuff was even stupider than the Shawshank thing from a few weeks ago.

Yeah, the mockumentary episode felt close to the older seasons, but the one episode that really felt like good ol' Community was when the study group fought the Germans for the study room. Throughout that entire episode I felt like I was watching something out of season 3.

last nights episode reminded me of the episode from season 1 where Jeff refuses to wear shorts to play pool.

Just another poor effort. A few chuckles but the show is just circling the drain now. They've rehashed plots or ideas before but they got results with them. This is just watered down caffeine free diet Community.

This.

I'm starting to accept that Season 4 is pretty much "playing it safe" and when you look at it like that, its still a pretty decent show.

Last nights episode for example wasn't especially over the top as were used to but I enjoyed it.

The focus seems to be more intimate and on the character relationships as opposed to the ridiculous levels of EPIC that were Seasons 2, 3 and 75% of season 1.

I really liked the Jeff and Pierce subplot from last night for example...

I bet if they get renewed and if it's for a full season things will feel a bit more back to normal. I think shortening the season was the worst move. It feels like they're trying to stuff as much as they possibly can into each episode

I second that. "Big" networks are pretty consistent with doing that.
They get nervous because a show isn't getting the numbers they think it should. Next comes cancellation (Last Resort) or ordering fewer episodes (Young Justice, Community). This handcuffs the showrunners into having to cut storylines short or go in different directions.

The Last Resort thing is still really bugging me. It's replacement (Zero Hour) lasted all of three weeks before ABC pulled it. You will not compete with CBS on Thursday night! Get it through your heads!!!

I imagine his season is just Abed in the dreamatorium imagining his life was taken over by Brett Ratner...

That would be an interesting twist, if it had not been done with the season premiere.
