Comedy Community - Part 4

Loved today's episode, had a Captain America: Winter Soldier feel to it

Bale, Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney being their code names were the best thing ever.

I lost it at the elevator scene. You just knew what they were doing the entire time.

Yea, the elevator scene was just amazingly bonkers. Loved it.

I think the Grifting episode has been the best. Paintball's just way over used at this point for me.

but who was Silver Ballz???

someone said you could pick it up by looking at the guns, but I definitely missed it

it was Kumail's character.

oh, thought that mighta been a misdirect, like a new ass crack bandit situation

Britta's impression of Garrett was amazing

:lmao:

I thought I was going to hate this episode, but it turned out to be one of the better ones of the season.

The newest episode was great, IMO. That was the funniest Elroy has been, and I love Keith David as a rule.

We white people are discouraging to each other.

I had a small and very cute twitter convo with Yvette Nicole Brown last night on accident.

Community fan favorite Yvette Nicole Brown will return for the Season 6 finale, streaming on Yahoo! Screen June 2.

Brown is listed as a guest star in the series’ official synopsis, along with Family Guy‘s Seth Green. Per the episode logline: “As their sixth year at Greendale draws to a close, Abed asks everyone to imagine pitching a TV show about what they would do in Season 7.”

The actress announced her Community exit last September, after which she was cast on CBS’ The Odd Couple — a multi-cam sitcom whose much shorter work hours would allow Brown to care for her father.

As explained in Community‘s Season 6 premiere, Shirley relocated to Atlanta — to be with her own ailing dad — while working as a chef for a paraplegic detective.

Brown told TVLine in March that she would be open to reprising her role, if possible: “It was always a time-spent-on-set issue, not a being-on-set issue. If they were to find a way for me to come back and I wouldn’t have to be there for 16-hour days, I would totally do it, because I love the show, I love my cast members and the crew is awesome.”

Community has not yet been renewed for Season 7.

Holy Crap Britta dropped the F bomb  loved the season finale.

That was amazing. One of the best finales I've seen. As always the end tag was great.

There were a few f bombs in there, yeah. Lol @ the Marvel comments and Chang :woot:

Chang's pitch. ****ing Dean, man.

Dean did too earlier in the episode. Is that the reason why the closed captioning kept turning on automatically or was that just me?

Anyway, I thought it was a very solid end to a mediocre season with just as many hits as there were misses. But I think it's also a good time to stop. They reached six seasons. Unlike the finales for seasons 4 and 5, there was closure here. I'd be open to the proverbial movie, but that's it. And also, for the movie to work they'd need to bring back Donald Glover.

Nice. Totally caught me off guard with F bombs.

Nope, the captions kept turning on for me as well, I figured it was glitch on the website.

As for the episode:
- A bit weird to see Elroy just walk out in the beginning.
- I completly forgot about Dean's outfits this season.
- The F-bombs had me cracking up, they just came out of nowhere.
- Surprised to see how emotional it was, especially Jeff's goodbye to Abed and Annie :(

Overall, I was a bit skeptical about this season, especially after seeing the first episode, to me it just felt different from the previous seasons, and some episodes just didn't work for me. But I think as a whole the season did work, much better than any other shows out there and they brought it home for a great finale in the end.

I still want more Community but after some mediocre episodes this season, I think it's the appropriate time to let the show go. With Ken Jeong getting his own show as well, I doubt he could comeback next season, so a movie seems like a best option with Troy coming back, and cameos of Pierce, Hickey, Duncan, and of course Levar Burton.
