We are currently spreading it like wildfire in the cleaned-up prologue thread.

My favoriate parts were when the joker is packing up the money and then the goon asked"Wheres the others"
then boom he shot.
So Joker right there.
But is it safe to say "Happy Goon" will stay alive in the movie since he was the only
goon to survive?

If I could get PM when the final version is ready I would greatly appreciate it :D

It looked like in some scenes The Joker's hair was Heath's normal hair color and then in other scenes, it was green. Did anyone else notice that at all?

Edit: oops, I didn't see that this question was posted above.

This is probably a strange thing to comment on, but I enjoyed William Fitchner as the gun-wielding manager. I've always had a soft spot for him. And it's funny because there was definately some Heat vibes in the prologue (a movie he also makes a small appearance in).

I just have one question.

The Joker is standing on the corner in broad daylight. Now maybe I missed something, but wouldn't the other guys in the van notice the dude they're picking up is in white make-up?
They stopped in front of him, so it's possible that they just saw the guy holding the mask and the duffle bag, and assumed he was on the team, and didn't look too closely at his face.

They're stupid goons anyway. :oldrazz:

Was the progressive change from blond to green intended?

Was the progressive change from blond to green intended?
Don't think so. It wasn't all that progressive either. His hair is brown when the goon aims the gun at him, and then it's green after the bus bursts into the bank. It's not an obvious green, but there's definitely a shift in color.

Dear WB,

Updated

Recently the batman community got a hold of some of The Dark Knight footage. We have to say we are thoroughly disappointed. Christopher Nolan and his brother have proven that they are not capable of doing a Batman movie. The dialogue was awful and Heath Ledger acts like Heath Ledger. We as a community are gathering together to petition for Crispin Glover to do the part of The Joker. We know that most of the filming is done, but it would be quite simple to cgi Glover in all of the scenes. Please adhere to our demands or we will boycott this film.

I love how you insinuate that if we like the prologue we are not clearly smart and intelligent, or classy. It is true you guys should feel free to state your opinion, that is what these boards about. However, I don no agree that is it classy to call people stupid, even indirectly, because you guys didn't like the footage...

And yes, it was very noticeable how greener his hair got as the prologue progressed.

absolutely magnificent otherwise

he throws the mask on hella quickly whilst turning his head away from the van

You're not stupid for liking the prologue, but you might be a bit stupid for falling for his prank.

i would seriously be eternally grateful to anyone who couldn point me in the direction of a decent version of the prologue. cheers guys.

I just saw a much clearer bootleg version of the prologue on YouTube. It was great. Joker's reveal was fantastic. Nice close up of the cut smile scars on his face. Verrrrry creepy.

The thug's dialogue, as well as the bank manager's, was a little corny, but overall I enjoyed it.

What I love about the prologue is, right till Joker appears, you don´t tell it´s a comic book-based movie at all, it seems like you´re seeing this gritty heist movie among the lines of Heat, then - if you don´t know what it is - he shows up and you´re like "what the hell?" The scene perfectly symbolizes Gotham´s freaks taking over the city´s crime scene.

Plus Nolan really improved his skills as an action director, the angles, the staging, the pacing, all seems to have improved and become more energetic.

man o man the joker looked CRAZY when he took off his mask, the prologue was done soooo well, its just fun to watch. The bus part was jaw dropingly funny lmao

I agree. I love watching it even though it isn't as flat-out exciting as the trailer, it's just so kinetic.

I'm shocked that 10 years ago, Nolan made this:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x17wxm_doodlebug

It's essentially a student film. And now, he's at the helm of a $150 million+ movie, kicking ass and taking names. This man certainly learns quickly!

When the bank manager is shooting at the Joker and one of the goons...what does the goon say? I hear "He's down right?"...which is why the Joker nods at him.

But after Joker takes him down it sounds like the goon goes "where did you learn to count!"

???? Eh?????

he says something like "hes out right" refering to how many rounds are in the gun...
