I had an off-topic thought regarding green. I have two male cousins who are red-green colorblind. Apparently certain shades of red and green look grayish to them. Vacationing in Hawaii must have been interesting...

i cannot believe that green hair is able to drive me so CRAZY

well probally what they did was dye Heaths hair green but it only got the front

then the next time they dyed his hair it got the green/brown they wanted

Yeah, the hair thing, it was almost like they didn't have much time for the set up. So they just had heath, with no make-up, and hair color, run through, and film the scene. And then for the reveal they did his make up, and called it a day.

Not likely. When I was an extra on 8/23, one of the PAs (Busby) explained to us that everything is done methodically and deliberately - they do not rush. They take as much time as needed to make sure that everything is in place.

Have you guys noticed the difference in colour between the prologue and the trailer? The prologue offers a more blueish, slightly more realistic, darker tint. The trailer is also blue, but there is more orange to it. In the trailer there are various shots that are also in the prologue, but the angles are slightly different, as well as the colour. I most definitely like the prologue colour better.

Even in BB, any scenes taking place in the daytime had a bluish tint. It's just that most of the movie took place at night, when the lighting turned everything into an orange tint. Cities do tend to be on the orange side at night, thanks to street lighting.

You'll probably see both in TDK, since the Joker does cause havoc during the day as well, so some major sequences should take place during the day.

And for those who want some illegal footage, please follow the directions in my siggie.

I'm not talking about the day scenes. There are scenes at the end of the prologue at night: Batman riding the bat pod, batman standing on the rooftop, Gordon smashing the symbol, joker turnig around. These same shots are in the trailer with a slightly different tint. My guess is that down converting the 70mm to 35 could be cause for the colour difference.

it was burton decision that it was like part of he mask,cowl

in the prologue you have a brown haired joker and in the next scene he has green hair.

again in nooooooooooooooo way is this the same.

I think the whole brown haired thing was purposely done to throw people off the fact that the Joker was present during the heist. Although, that iconic shot of the thug holding the mask is a dead give away.

Also, does anyone know what software is used to save stills from video? Like take snap shots from trailers, etc.?

I replied to you in the other thread you posted the same question on. Forgot which one it was...

ETA: It was the concern thread. Short answer - "Print-Screen" key. I use SnagIt for more complicated stuff, like the websites for the wiki, plus it allows you to compress files or save things in high-quality.

it goes from brown to green in 5 seconds.

it is a climax: 1st you see the wet brown hair, then you see the wet green
hair and at the end you see dry green hair. i think this could be a explanation, maybe it is what nolan wanted (film-art)

No, size downsizing has absolutely nothing to do with color.

I must be colour blind or something. When I saw the prologue in IMAX (twice) I thought, WOW! Nolan is definitely going for a more realistic pallete. Then when I see the trailer, the colour is a little more like Batman Begins. I could have sworn the picture in IMAx is a little more natural as opposed to the slightly more orange look of the trailer.

Oh, for gosh sakes, I feel like I'm spoonfeeding.

If you have a PC, using the "print-screen" key will do. It's right above the "insert" key (which is above the "delete" key), and it will copy whatever's on the screen onto the clipboard. Then you can open up Paint or whatever and paste it.

I like using SnagIt for more complicated screen captures (like scrolling windows....it's very helpful for updating the ARG wiki) but yeah, using the "print-screen" key will do in a jiffy.

Some DVD players also come with screen capture. Roxio DVD player definitely has one.

In all screen-capture programs, you have to pause the video and then capture the still. In Quicktime, you can go through it frame-by-frame anyway so that shouldn't be a problem.

And regarding the thread that Jokers_Wild started and was closed about the prologue being shown in October..

It's impossible. My friend was in the studio when they did the sound-mixing for it, and WB had booked two days in mid-November. If the sound-mixing wasn't even done yet, I highly doubt Nolan would have shown it to a "test-audience."
