The Dark Knight Concerns about TDK

The Batmen...Batmans Lines...Jokers Makeup...Scarecrows Involvement...There Might Be Too Much Harvey Dent...Gordon Rumor

Well sure he snuck around, but I'm talking real kickass ninja stuff. Stuff that would make people think he is supernatural, even though he isnt. Things to make people really FEAR him. Stuff he uses in battle. He didnt do that a lot. There is a little of what I'm talking about in Begins, but not enough to make me happy just yet. For example, when the mob guys are at the shipping yard, theres this one guy who backs up against an open container, the inside full of shadow so you cant see inside. Suddenly the man just flies back screaming into the darkness and is suddenly silenced. Now that was kickass. There needs to be a lot more of that style.

The voice at times seemed too forced. Like he had something in his throat he needed to cough up. Other times it was fine, though. I think the worst part was then he was at the train station with Rachel. Just hearing him say the words "mass panic" make me cringe.

Don't know about the make up yet! It's just a concern of mine!

Side note, I also doubt it will be R.

I agree that the scene you described was very effective but in my opinion that style was over-used in "begins." I, like many others, thought the fighting scenes were cut too short with not seeing enough Batman. Although it really did work because it was the introduction of Batman and the audience and the criminals both got the same impression. I think if they continue that too much in "The Dark Knight" it will seem like "oh come on, we've seen this enough already."

And where did I claim that was the case? This thread is for concerns about TDK, and I voiced my concern.

Sarcasm, son. Keep up. You might learn something.

It obviously does matter to you, or why would you be so offended about what I think of Bale's Batman voice?

I was talking about the way I voice MY opinions.

You've got to keep up, kid. Makes it easier to debate.

The movie is going to be fine, only concern i want to see the fight scenes perfectly i dont want the fight scenes to be filmed to close to the actors, i want to see batman kick ass!

My only real concern at the moment is that godawful new suit, which is a total eyesore and should have been scrapped at the design stage. Hopefully it will look OK in the finished film, if not then I hope the story/acting/dialogue are good enough to compensate. Only the ice suit from Batman & Robin looked worse in my opinion.

I also hope that Goyer's absence will mean we won't get the stupid attempts at one liners that totally seemed out of place in Begins.

Other than that, I love how the movie is shaping up, can't wait till we start seeing some actual clips.
Couldnt agree with you any more

yeah i agree also on the suit, specially that batman symbol on the chest.Nolan made it smaller not like BB where the batman symbol ran across his chest like the comic books which looks awesome, i hope it looks fine when the movie comes out.Why i do like about the suit is its less bulky than before gives better movement to bale inside and the cowl which is certainly the most important part that actually looks better than the bb costume just because the neck is slimmer and bale/batman can finally move his head to the sides!I just wish they make the batman symbol larger to run across the chest it would look sick if it did!

___________
I did it, i finally killed batman, in front of vulnerable disabled kids. Now get me Santa Clause!!! - The Joker

i'm not all that worried about the costume or the movie . after batman beigns i trust that this movie will be done well

The suits not gonna change. Thats the suit they are filming with and its official

Wait until you see it in motion. It will be the best batsuit yet

Even if you were being sarcastic, you were still trying to discredit me by saying that Christian Bale doesn't care about my opinion. Obviously you realised how inane that was and are now trying to backtrack "I was kidding" is the oldest form of backpedaling in the book.
I was talking about the way I voice MY opinions.
The way you voice your opinions is childish at best.
You've got to keep up, kid. Makes it easier to debate.
Obviously I am a 'kid' because of my low post count, right? It would be much easier to debate if you weren't so offended by what I think about Bale's Batman voice.

Wait...what?

I've seen that "Bale's voice was forced to me" complaint a couple times, and I always use the same response. "Becuase he was FORCING his voice to do that."

And I WAS being sarcastic. And how does me saying Christian Bale doesn't care about your opinion discredit anything?

And how can I discredit your opinion? Seems to me that you're the one that got offended at my sarcasm.

I already know you can pedal backwards, but can you do a wheelie?

As a guy who has read comics since kindergarten, my only fanboyish concern is whether the Joker has bleached skin or not. I think the film can work either way; but my purist instincts want the Joker to be exactly as he is in the early Batman stories, the O'Neill/Adams work, Englehart/Rogers, THE KILLING JOKE, etc.

Everyone refers to the concerns about the Joker as "fanboyish", but I think they are not "fanboyish" at all. In terms of realism it's the best decision, but in terms of aesthetics and in terms of the themes and motives behind the Joker character, having him be some jackass that paints his own face before random crime sprees is not the best decision at all and Batman fans that aren't necessarily "fanboys" should appreciate this. Just because Nolan handed us a rather great debut in Begins doesn't mean we should honor the ground he walks on and not fault him when he does something we consider erroneous, such as ****ting all over our favorite Batman villain.

That's my take on the subject anyway.

I'm concerned that I might not get a seat at the first showing.

I'll be concerned for the people that try to stop me from having a seat at the first showing.

My concerns:

Bale too thin but minor complaint.
Still not enough faith on Ledger.
The Batpod
Recast M.Gyllenhaal
Multiple Batmen
Dent not fleshed out character before becoming Two-Face.
