Days of Future Past Connecting XMO: Wolverine to DOFP - my thoughts

I'd love to see this...

Weapon_X_Polar_Bear_HV.jpg

I immediately thought of the snow monster from Frozen when I saw that. :funny:

There were flashes of the Weapon X scene from Origins with the X1/X2 flashbacks during the Paris scene.

I will have to study that and Xavier reading wolverine's mind more closly when
I see film again.

I'm guessing he'll be getting his adamantium from Apocalypse, if he's not going off with Stryker in the new timeline.

Apocalypse is the one who put the adamantium back after Magneto ripped it out in the comics.

I don't like this idea. I would love to see Dr. Cornelius and that storyline... :word:

What does it matter? Origins was part of the original timeline, and THAT was what those flashbacks were coming from.

1940: William Stryker Jr. is born.
1962: William Stryker Senior operates in America.
1963: Jason Stryker (Mastermind) is born.
1973: William Stryker Jr. is a Lieutenant in Vietnam. Jimmy Logan is located in America, after a break from his military duties.
1975: Jimmy Logan and Victor Creed fight in Vietnam, despite it not being a battlefield anymore. Maybe Trask's murder prolonged the war for some more years. Major Stryker recruits Logan and Creed for his Team X. The only minor gripe is that this Stryker looks older than the Stryker in DOFP, but who cares, it's just a very very brief excerpt.
1977: Jason kills his mother. William orders him to be frozen.
1979: Jimmy Logan quits Team X. The 3 Miles Island Incident happens.
1980: Stryker relocates at the 3 Miles Island because it is the perfect cover-up for his plans.
1985: The major events of ORIGINS take place. In the aftermath, Jason is freed. Cyclops should be 16/17 years old *wait for APOCALYPSE*
1990: 15 years before X1, Wolverine starts wandering across the globe in search of his identity.
2005: X2, six months after X1. Stryker is 65 years old.

I noticed:

Another proof "ORIGINS" is connected to the movie and is Timeline Prime canon anyway...

In "ORIGINS", Logan met Stryker in 1975, so Danny Huston's Stryker from 1975 is supposed to look like DOFP Stryker from 1973. Right? Right.

In DOFP Logan INSTANTANIOUSLY recognized 1973 Stryker because he looked like 1975 Stryker, if you know what I mean. IN-FICTION, of course. That's why he recognized him and had a post-traumatic disorder attack.

By the way, DOFP Stryker actor looks A LOT like Origins Stryker the first time we see him, in 1975 (Vietnam). Good casting choice !!!

I agree with most of your timeline, but my alternative would be as follows:

1940: William Stryker Jr. is born.
1945: Wolverine saves Yashida outside Nagasaki
1962: William Stryker Senior operates in America. Jimmy Logan has a drink at a bar.
1963: Jason Stryker (Mastermind) is born.
1968: Logan/Victor are fighting in Vietnam. As the Vietnam scene likely depicts the Mỹ Lai Massacre.
1973: William Stryker Jr. (33) is a Lieutenant in Vietnam. Jimmy Logan is located in America, on leave from his military duties. Paris Peace Accords, Mystique assassinates Trask.
------------------------------------------------- DoFP
1974: Jimmy Logan and Victor Creed return to Vietnam to battle North Vietnamese, despite US troops having withdrawn. They are imprisoned by North Vietnamese for (Victor's) war crimes and POWs for several years.
1977: Jason (14) kills his mother. William orders him to be frozen.
1980: Major Stryker (40) makes a deal with the North Vietnamese and recruits Logan and Creed for his Team X.
1982: Jimmy Logan quits Team X. The 3 Miles Island Incident happens.
1984: Stryker relocates at the 3 Miles Island because it is the perfect cover-up for his plans.
1988: The major events of ORIGINS take place. In the aftermath, Jason is freed. Cyclops should be 17/18 years old *wait for APOCALYPSE*
1990: 15 years before X1, Wolverine starts wandering across the globe in search of his identity.
2005: X2, six months after X1. Stryker is 65 years old.

(This makes Stryker 7 years older when he recruits them. Not to mention the stress of his wife and son in between.)

What Origins film? There was never such a thing :oldrazz:

Seriously though, Origins still exists in my mind in the original timeline, but is just bent a little through DOFP. New timeline, it's all to play for :yay:

I choose to not let Origins exist :)
The shot that was shown from Origins, is Sabretooth breaking Logan's bone claws and that happened when Charles looked into Logan's mind.

Awe, very nice. Thanks!

With the Weapon X story played out across several movies now, a new timeline, and Apocalypse on the horizon...doesn't look likely we'll be revisiting that anytime soon.

That's true. :yay:

All movies are canon.
And all movies are erased at the end (except in the minds of Logan).
+1000!
Haters can hate Origins and TLS, but you're right.
All movies counts for old timeline (there were flashbakcs from all movies), and now all are erased (those events exist only in Logan's memory).

I still don't get the hate for the film. It's (probably by far) the weakest of the X films, but I enjoy it.And it is canon (In the original timeline)

This.
It's a very entertaining movie. Yes, the weakest in the saga, but still entertaining. :word:

EUREKA!

I tweaked the concept a bit.

1970: Jimmy Logan and Victor Creed fight in Vietnam.
1973 (January): Logan is located in America for a break from his military duties. The "Mobster thing" pushes him to go away.
1973 (February): Logan goes in Vietnam again. Rejoins Creed.
1973-1975: After the firing squad failed to kill them, Logan and Creed are put "in brutal custody". For 2 years.
1975: Stryker recruits them for Team X.
1979: Logan quits Team X.
1985: ORIGINS. Scott is 16 years old or so.
1990: Stryker has no way to track Logan back. Logan starts to wander across the globe. "15 years before X1".
2005: X-Men 1.

great scott

I'm surprised we can fit in as much as well can. Though I still wish we got closer to what Singer had for the Weapon X scene.

William Stryker: You were sentenced for decapitating a senior officer. The warden tells me that your sentence was carried out by a firing squad at 10.00 hours. How'd that go?
Logan: It tickled.

The firing squad and meeting with William Stryker = this is the same day...

1000 hours:doh::doh::doh:

I re-edited the OP...

By the way:

ORIGINS still belongs to the Timeline Prime canon, it's not a "what if" story at all.
1940: William Stryker Jr. is born.
1962: William Stryker Senior operates in America.
1963: Jason Stryker (Mastermind) is born.
1970: Jimmy Logan (James Howlett) and Victor Creed (Victor Logan) fight in Vietnam.
1973 (January): Jimmy Logan is located in NY (America) for a break from his military duties. The "Mobster issue" (he slept with his daughter) forces him to go away and embark on a new military campaign.
1975 (Fall of Saigon): After the firing squad failed to kill them, Logan and Creed are put "in brutal custody". Stryker recruits them for Team X.
1976: William Stryker approaches Xavier.
1977: Jason Stryker "kills" his mother. He is 14 years old. William orders him to be frozen.
1979: Logan quits Team X.
1985: ORIGINS. Scott is 16 years old or so.
1990: Stryker has no way to track Logan back. Logan starts to wander across the globe. "15 years before X1".
2005: X-Men 1.

I noticed:

1- Logan INSTANTANIOUSLY recognized 1973 Stryker because he looked like 1975 Stryker, if you know what I mean. IN-FICTION, of course. That's why he recognized him and had a post-traumatic disorder attack.

2- Danny Huston was digitally de-aged in the 1975 scenes. We must suppose he was playing THE young Stryker we see in DOFP for one minute of film. Next time we see in the movie, it's 1979. Then it's 1985, where he looks 45. It's everything fine in terms of continuity.

3- Logan had been part of Team X until 1979, then he quitted.

4- Most of the movie is set in 1985. Stryker relocated on the 3 Miles Island to avoid suspicions.

5- There's a nice cameo of Emma Silverfox in the "new" Timeline Sigma future 2023.

OMG, she was not in the movie. Just stop already.

Watch the movie. The end. :word:

By the way... I'm wondering what's your problem with me... maybe you don't like Italian pizza? :woot: (LOL)
Try to be more sympathetic. Gratuitous hostility smells like "bullism" in my agenda. Just saying... :cwink:

Just for the record...
THIS
did NOT happen.

It did, in timeline prime. It's a side effect of the serum see...

Frankly, nothing wrong with that CGI facelift. He looks a bit like James McAvoy IMHO.

And it was a mental projection anyway... :word:
