Constantine General Discussion Thread - Part 1

Its probably better off as a half season the way Hannibal is better off. Networks should embrace the shorter seasons for a lot of their shows.

A lot less filler episodes and a more tighter story. Sleepy Hollow and Hannibal attest to this and they have turned out fine.

Yes last season it was 13 and season 2 will have 18.

I love shorter seasons compared to 22/23 per season shows.

Actually, me too. And it is also much less time-consuming which is something I appreciate a lot, especially as of late. 16 episodes (if they're around 45 minutes long) would be perfect, I find.

Yeah. The Walking Dead benefits from that amount as did ITV's Bad Girls between series 3 and series 5

Yep. Most showrunners and writers actually say they prefer shorter seasons as well.

Most the people writing and running these shows find themselves having to pad out 22 episode seasons because they can't really stretch the plotlines out that long while maintaining a tight overarching story.

this show reminds me of the first few seasons of Supernatural

hope it works out

it's a shame that this probably won't last. it was getting to some amazing stuff. i wish it could last 2 or 3 seasons. we need to see Etrigan, Deadman, Swamp Thing, Zatanna and Dr Fate

Less of that kind of talk, more encouraging folks to watch so we can get a 2nd season.

The actors who play Gray Lester and The Spectre are both in BBC show The Fall

Nine hours on, and the show's still trending on Twitter the way HTGAWM and the Papa Pope hashtags did the next day.

I dont know, I just dont see it living past the first 13. Esp if they ordered 3 more scripts but then didnt want to shoot them. But I dont know what NBC expects out of the deadliest slot on Friday.

The same as they expect from Hannibal

“Constantine” (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled the show’s average rating of its prior four telecasts in adults 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.9), despite this week’s holiday distractions.

“Constantine” maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.9) and adults 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.2), despite the 10 p.m. hour. In women 25-54 , “Constantine” grew by +18% half-hour to half-hour (from a 1.1 to a 1.3)
.
“Constantine” will add substantial audience via time-shifting, increasing on average this season by +70% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.10 to a 1.87) and 2.0 million viewers overall (3.5 million to 5.5 million) when L+7 time-shifted viewing is added to these next-day L+SD results.

So, this week saw in increase in the female demo and Danse Vaudou's L+3 results surpassed my earlier L+3 prediction made last Saturday. I should've saw the female demo growth coming having saw a few tweets about John's childhood tugged their heartstrings.

Well,I saw it live this week.Dunno if the Thanksgiving weekend will give it a ratings bump. Episode was better than expected. It seems NBC is still supporting it to the hilt.I'm constantly seeing promos and they were even on during the parade.

Yeah, even Daniel Cerone said NBC seems to be fully behind this show.
