I haven't heard that but I would not be surprised if it was.

Man I am looking forward to my comics...:D

Well I sent them out last week, so they should be arriving fairly soon.

Oh I know, and I won't expect them for another week at least. I am just eager in putting in some reading time...;)

Oh aren't I just the self promoting kind....

I've recently started a fanfic over in that section of the hype. It's of something I had written a few years back, so I decided to just type it out on the hype and let people read it. I don't know if anyone will like it, but it'd be fun just to have it read :) Feel free to check it out and comment on it as it moves along.

Those are some excellent deals, JH. Too bad I have pretty much all that stuff.

Anyway, we've been on the state rotation at the impound lot for a few weeks, and I'll tell you...there is a hell of a lot of drunk driving going on in this town. Most of it is people smashing there cars into trees and stuff at 1-2 a.m. Now, I'm thinking, if we are one of three tow companies on rotation in this one portion of the country (they divide up the county depending on where your impound lot is; then, each portion is assigned to a few tow companies) and you triple the amount of accidents THEN imagine all the people not getting caught, the speeches about drinking and driving really isn't doing much of anything.

People are morons when it comes to booze. They can't handle it an' yet they want more freedom to consume it. HA! You dunno how many friends I hadda clean up off th' roads in my day.

Bah, I have always taken a cab home. There was a never an instance where I thought after drinking I could drive. I don't even want to drive after having one beer, even though I know I am fine.....

I wouldn't be surprised on how many there are. It's sad really...:(

Th' most I'll drink is a Lynchburg Lemonade, s'about it. Other'n that, I don't believe in it or think it's necessary to have somethin' with booze in it. If I wanna act like a doof an' get a li'l silly, I'll be with a group of some good friends SOBER.

There is nothing wrong with drinking, or getting drunk once in a while. You just have to control yourself so you don't reach the point where your vomitting everywhere. People who can get drunk/tipsy without going overboard are okay with me, cause i'm in that same boat. A lot of my friends drink to the point of vomitting like, every week lol and I end up dragging their sorry asses home.

I don't mind social drinkin'. It's gonna happen, I ain't stupid. It's those dumbasses ya mentioned, th' ones that get beyond drunk all th' time to th' point they throw up th' whole next day an' declare it th' time of their lives. THEY piss me th' **** off.

Thats fun to them a lot of the time though...it's not about the end result, its about the fun you've had the previous night. I've been drunk to the point of vomitting a few times, and I still had a great time. I know those people can be annoying to be around sometime, but they are just having fun...and as long as they are responsible, and don't get in your way, I don't see why you wuld have a problem with it.

'Cause it's all fun an' games until I'm answerin' a DUI call an' attendin' a funeral.

Teach them a lesson. Drag their sorry asses to the wrong homes!

I've never had a drop of alcohol and dispise the stuff. I was raised in a house with an alcoholic and it nearly destroied my family on more than one occation. Alcohol killed my step-grandfather a couple years back. So yeah, I have a big problem with any drinking whatsoever. I can't even stand casual drinking, or even wine coolers. With the exception of my mom and stepdad when I'm at their house, I refuse to be around anyone whose drinking. Either they stop or I leave, period.

Has anyone ever read Alpha Flight or looked at their respect thread?

It's weird because some of them are nearly invincible. I mean what kind of team would have a person who can take down Galactus, be stronger magical wise than Doctor Strange, one who can take down Namora without struggling while taking out Dr Doom within a breath, one who can kill Spider-man (in an alternate timeline) without even much of a struggle, beat the crud out of the Hulk, and not only move but knock down the unmovable object as the Juggernaut....

To me some of those characters are almost jokingly too powerful in their own comic.

I think when reviewing characters for next season, I think we should look at some of these characters, because the feats they have done in their own comic would make it hard to argue against....

Haha see this is the exact same thing I thought when I first picked up one of their books 5 months ago. Hell, I thought Wolverine could take them and then I find out basically each member has owned him...badly. Hell, Puck has taken it to the Hulk. Oh don't forget Shaman....guy sucked up a nuclear explosion  [He held the rift for over 2 hours]

Oh BTW that was Tanaraq, basically Sasquatch's ultimate form that's why he dominated everyone. Also the Sasquatch vs. Jugz fight was current Sas battling current Jugz. Also that was imposter Doom, basically someone wearing his armor.

Well they have jobbed a lot in various comics, and probally will die in New Avengers #16

Hell even their villians they go up against are gods, such as The Great Beasts, Llan who made Strange crap his pants, Dreamqueen [Nightmare's Daughter]. Hell The Master of the World; Kang was afriad of him and he took out Namor with one hit...ONE!

They do look like good reads. I might start picking up some old issues...:D:up:

Juggernaut is unstoppable, not umoveable. Which seems similar, but I suppose it depends on if he's stnading still or not.

Vol.1 is the best, but they have jobbed even in their own book. For example Madison Jeffries assimilated an entire base into his Box armor making him hundreds of feet to battle a god. He then destroys part of his mass sending off a nuclear explosion and just before the team in killed, he transforms into a spaceship and goes into warp speed into space. Who can compete with that?

La...la...la...uber :)

Oh it was current Jugz not the classic uber version. Basically both charged at each other and Sasquatch's hit leveled Jugz. In the end Jugz looked a lot worse than Sasquatch. Alpha Flight jobbed in that fight...badly.

The handbook says he is 70 tons, but he has tossed a 250 ton DC-10 1000 feet while the engines were still on, dragged and lifted out of the water a destroyer, gone toe to toe with Hulk for over 30 minutes, etc.

Oh yeah Snowbird can transform into Wendigo and Sasquatch and have all their strengths. Snowbird has even beaten Wendigo one on one when she turned into a large Wolverine ripping him to shreds.

I never liked AF.

Oh? why? Wolverine was a member and was suppose to be the leader and actually get the Guardian suit.

Just so you know Mungi, I don't mind clarifications when needed, but people aren't allowed to help others debate their matches.
This was brought up in a battle thread, but I figured I'd put this here as to not clog the thread up.

Anyway, I agree with you, Hobbit, to an extent. But I think if you don't have a scanner, and someone provides the scans you need to prove something that should be allowed.
I know I don't have a scanner, but I think I should be allowed to ask someone if they could scan me a pic out of a specific comic. After all, I'd do it myself if I could. :o

I see your point Blaze and I somewhat agree. But in an instance where you were not aware of something, and someone stepped in for you and posted information that would assist you in a debate I think that crosses the line.

Although, asking for a scan of such and such should be allowed.

Don't let my name fool ya. I don't go rush out an' buy everythin' connected to Wolverine foamin' at th' mouth. I judge everythin' on it's own merits, an' AF just wasn't my kinda book.
