Seeing that Cable looks to be going away after this round, the one thing that I'm reminded of is all the cross-overs that came in the 90's. The big one for me was X-Cutioner's Song. I remember buying two of every issue; one that I would open, and one I'd leave bagged. It was suppose to finally deal with the whole Cable/Stryfe ordeal.

I was in a speech class in High School. It was a load of fun, and the teacher let us pretty much do whatever we wanted. (She even told us that swearing was ok, just as long as it was relevant to the topic. If it was saying the F word just to say the F word, she wouldn't allow it.) Anyway, one of the last assignments was to do a two person dialogue memorized in front of class from a book. I really, really wanted to do a scene from a comic, and when I brought the following comic that just featured Storm and Forge, she initially nixed the idea. I was told that comics usually don't have a good form of prose that translated well to spoken form...so, she agreed to have me read it to her. After I was finished, she let me go ahead and do the reading. (It was the speech at the end of the book, if I remember correctly.) So, in light of Forge probably departing the tournament, here is the issue that reminds me of him:

It's crazy to think that this is the final 8. We started with 512 (?) and now next round will be the semifinals....

Some pretty heavy firepower in that lineup. At least half of them will probably be removed from the list for next season...

Just a fun thought, but I think it'd be neat if the voting for the championship match is a secret vote. All posters who wish to vote will PM the vote to me or Phaed (to be determined later), and that way the votes can all be announced at once for a suspenseful ending. Thoughts?

It looks like there's no chance for another match between two characters owned by a single owner, until the final match. I'm really hoping that that doesn't happen though, it'd make for a sucky final.

Well, I can almost guarantee it won't happen with my two characters. Firelord won against Doom, but he won't stand a chance against some of the others. My best bet is High Evolutionary...but, I have to go against Thanos this round. Initially, I would have said Thanos would win; but, the more I've learned about HE, the more I can see it's a more even match-up. Still, it will be very hard to make people vote against Thanos. He had to be the odds on favorite to win the whole thing. And, those odds are still in his favor.

I was bored, too, last night. So, I decided to take the boy to a movie. The only thing that he'd enjoy was "She's The Man." It was actually a good movie. I laughed quite a few times. Sure, it's totally unbelievable that Amanda Bynes is a guy; but, you're suppose to suspend belief with a show like this. Everyone in the theater seemed to enjoy it too.

Meh it's ok, I don't care either way....so go with it....

The one thing that concerns me is to limit voting to those who have actually voted prior to the finals, if not regularly. I hate to see a whole bunch of people (who might not understand the rules) voting for whoever they feel like, including those who "they like more". Or we could make it mandatory for each voter to list why they are voting for a particular person. That way if they say, "I voted for this person because he rocks", we can weed those votes out.

This week's matches will be held in the Negative Zone which is a universe parallel to Earth. The two have many similarities, but a few noteworthy differences include: all matter in the Negative Zone is negatively charged; the Negative Zone is entirely filled with a pressurized, breathable atmosphere; and near the center of the Negative Zone is a deadly vortex of unspeakable power. Since the Negative Zone is largely uninhabited, several would-be conquerors have attempted to bridge the gap to Earth and take over it's population.
