Apocalypse Costumes of the 80s

From what I hear they wanted Lawrence to have long hair so they were gonna give her a wig but she asked for hair extensions instead

Her hair just looks like a mix of Madonna and Cyndi Lauper's in the 80s. I like it.

I'm totally digging Charles' mullet and Miami Vice-like suit; it's the right amount of '80s kitsch, and McAvoy still looks handsome despite the inherent silliness of it. Miami Vice began airing in 1984 (so one year after this film), so that means Xavier started a fashion trend before Don Johnson. :cwink:

Apocalypse-I like it. The egyptian influences look good.

Storm-Love it! It might be a little too purple but I'll wait for a better look.

Magneto-Very nice, his chest is a little busy though.

Psylocke- Why oh why did they not go with the Uncanny X-Force one? That would have been so much better. The thong may be accurate but it is just idiotic and ridiculous serialized.

Jubilee-I like it

Mystique- The suit seems interesting. I like her hair!

Angel has a Billy Idol-esque spiky hairstyle and studded leather jacket.

So this is some sort of mutant fight club, then?

Wonder who he fights?

I like this Jubilee costume, it looks like the original trilogy costumes but with the trench coat it's distinguishable. Also, that Psylocke really looks like Olivia Munn, lol.

Has anyone else notice what looks like an X-Men emblem on the right of her costume, looks like a yellow X with red on the inside.

After posting I noticed the smaller X on her collar.

If Jubilee were to wear her yellow jacket over a suit then they could just make it a yellow and blue suit like Negasonic warhead there instead of the black suit. Would look better imo.

Well i like very much every costume we already saw. I just dont like:

Psylock "scarf" high on the waist, makes her short and curve less. Should rest on the hips.

Magnetos hole on the chest plate..like iron man. Whats that?

Those grey/black uniforms are too modern for 80's.

So are other things in that movie, it's fantasy not real life so the suits are fine. Besides it's nothing advanced about the suit it looks like black leather simply.

The grey black uniforms look as modern as Storm Trooper uniforms.

Those costumes look more present than this Teenage Warhead (whatever) costume.

No color is to modern for the 80s, you just either embrace the pop culture of the 80s or you don't

There's a literary term for this: anachronism. Many a film makes use of this, it's nothing new.

Who are you rolling your eyes at?

The black/grey armor look literally fits in just fine with the 80's Star Wars movies. To say they don't fit the era by being too modern is ridiculous.
