Different movie, I know, but Negasonic Teenage Warhead wears (what looks to be) an X-Men or Xavier Institute uniform in Deadpool!

Maybe we'll see something similar in Apocalypse? It reminds me of a more modernized version of the First Class look.

That said, it's good that they're using the books as inspiration for the costumes. There's some great costumes from the funny books.

We just need some goddamn color already, and bringing it into the costumes in the last part of this new trilogy works for me. We got the old-school blue and yellow uniform look in FC, we got everyone in their dark post-apocalypse chic s*** in DOFP, now give them some f***ing individual identity and color.

I kinda like Warhead's costume... however her as a member of the X-Men??? Of all the mutants that they could choose!

Black leather costumes were fine in the late nineties when audiences were not sold on superheroes just yet and black leather outfits were seen as cool.

We have had 15 years of solid comic book movies now so audiences are more willing to embrace some of the brighter outfits from the comics. Other movies have proved it can be done and work well.

I personally didn't have a problem with the black leather. Just wished they had been stylized a little more.

The leather was good and understandable for the time the movie was made with not a lot of comic book movies out at that time. This is a different time now and the leather is very dated and needs to be done. There is absolutely no excuse to continue using these bland colors anymore, they can easily transfer the comic look to movie to still make it believable in which they all have different costumes similar to there popular showings of themselves.
